Did you run through the internal dialogue of a new bumper vs. the US Offroad winch set up? That's where I am and I'm just curious why you went one way or the other. That does look really nice. I'm just torn. Did it match up with your skid plate just fine? I have a RCI Metalworks skid. What winch did you go with?

 

I was initially interested in keeping the stock look. Did not want the big War Wagon look, though I must say, I do miss the brush guard I had on my old 4Runner. Liked to be able to nose up against another vehicle if the need ever arose that I had to push something off the road. Small trade off, since I was never called upon to do that in my 4Runner. And, additionally, I began to think of weight, and of lesser concern was price. Price actually came into effect more with regards the winch. I had wanted a Warn. U.S. made. But since it was twice the price of the Smittybuilt I went with Smitty. Naturally, after I bought the Smitty, and had it installed, I found a big sale on the Warn. Figures.
