It's barely noticeable at all really. They would have to curve that outer most section only then bend it all while keeping the rest straight. Very hard unless set up on a special machine and they would only do that for mass production.

my 1000rr probably weighs 430 wet, and most of the weight is over the front anyway. 2 of the bikes i'm picking up this weekend are 250's so they probably weigh as much as me hehe

Not really; if they'd cut maybe 1/8"-1/4" off of the top piece and change the angle on the face to about 100-105 degrees instead of a straight 90 they could get it to sit a lot closer to flush. :notsure:
    But, I'm not an engineer.

    Tacoma problems :)
Actually, not as hard as you might think. You roll the plate first to make the curve on the outside, then make the inside bend. Just an added step so yeah, hurts productivity.

I thought Toyota made the tailgates stronger in 2008? I helped my dad unload a 900lbs bike from his 2500 Sierra. Snapped the cables, but the tailgate was fine.

My 250 Ninja weighs in around 375 wet, FWIW. You don't look like you're that heavy from your avatar picture :notsure:

He's from Maine where the men are men, and so are the women (and sheep run scared) so 375 isn't out of the ordinary for him.

Mike's just grouchy because he's from MA, where the women are women, the men are women, and if a sheep runs out in the road and you hit it it's your fault.

Sorry, the moose must have lost that interwebz message. :notsure:

If that's the case, you're grouchy because that's where you live and have to deal with now.

This wouldn't work. The relentless sits nice and flush in the center it is only the outer corners that have the lip stick out
This wouldn't either. Actually the top of the outer most part of the tailgate is all curved so it would take a special press to make a curved bend on the top and then it would fit perfectly.
Not really, ever seen one without the plastic panel. Tundras are a little scary looking too. Fact is all company's tailgates can bend. I sell them all the time
Let's get this straight. This is Mass we don't have any sheep running around in our streets, at least I have never seen any

The sheep walk on two legs, drink starbucks, talk on cell phones, and rely on the 'guvment' to run their lives.
