That's Taco Lean pre-load right there ! The truck rides very very nice with those set to Zero don't they ! !

Although I did notice that I needed a 2nd alignment due to no pre-load and the front end kept rising.
Instead of settling and going down, it settled and went up, all is good now ! !

Okay, so I have a 4 inch spindle lift and bilstein 5100 adjustable series. I am at .85 on the bilsteins. I am about to go to up to 2.5 on the bilsteins and go 33s and 20x12, does anyone think I will have problems with tie rods?

Bob Well my truck is lifted with maxtracs, love the look, However apparently i got a bad batch of spindles we were told from your associate JJ, He told the company lifting my truck it would be perfectly fine to bore the spindle out where the bearing goes, im now hearing a loud scapeing noise which sounds like the bearing going bad/out! Need to know what can be done in case my faulty spindle goes out, and leaves me stranded, bought these brand new from Headstrong at full price! Look forward to your reply, Thanks! Im in Columbia S.C, and travel about 20,0000 mile annually. JJ

    hey Bud...
First of all it wasn't a bad batch of spindles.... because the stock spindle is open on the back side there was never a set depth the spindle had to be plunged for the spindle hub assy. We had brought in a factory hub assembly from Toyota to get the plunge depth correct. We found out that Toyota doesn't make the hubs exactly the same. and we had roughly maybe 5 trucks that had this problem with the hub bottoming out in the spindle because there were excess threads sticking out of the hub assy. The easiest fix was to use a sanding disc and sand off roughly 1/8 if an inch of the exposed thread to clear the spindle. The weird thing was for the first 2 years we never had this problem and after roughly 750 sets of spindles we had this show up. This was roughly a year ago and since we have bored the spindles even further to stop this problem from ever happening again. BTW JJ offered the shop that was doing the install the option of receiving a new spindle or trimming the threads back on the hub and you chose sanding the threads back... I don't know what the scraping noise is and I would like to have you get that checked out to see what it is ok... Also Like before we would be more than glad to ship you a new spindle if you want if that would make you happy... is the scrapping noise happening all of the time??? Or just when you turn??? Is the hub spinning freely? This is something the shop should have checked when they did the fix... We had addressed this issue in this thread roughly a year ago... How long have you had the spindles ??? Please let me know what you want to do bud....

    ^ Now that's F***ing customer service.
Asking the right questions, offering a new product or a fix for a problem. Not alot of companies these days do that. Good on you Bob.

    Hey guys
just finished installing a 4" maxtrac spindle. After installing I noticed my steering wheel now has a vibration going around 40-50mph and braking at 40-50mph. I thought it might be the wheels and tires so had it balance 4 times, rotated the tires and even changed the lugs on thr tires. After all that still have the same issue. has anyones experienced this and how did you guys fix the issue. I also seen some mentioning drive shaft and carrier bearing replacement. Can anyone provide any advice on how to fix the annoying vibration. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated. Below is picture of my drive shaft if anyone can see anything that seems odd. Thanks

It's recommend with any lift, the drive shaft coming out of the tranny is not a good thing & causes vibes. It's not the spindles that cause this, it's the rear end getting pushed down that pulls the drive shaft out.
Looks like an inch, measure from the edge of the silver part to the edge of the black & that how much spacer you need. The black is supposed to be flush with the silver. The cb drop is hit or miss, it helps some people get rid of vibes & some experience no difference. In my mind it doesn't hurt to keep your drive shafts in line & not at extreme angles, less stress on the bearing.

You shouldn't need anything done to your driveshaft if you're just lifting the front, but if you do an equal lift all the way around, then yes, you'll need a driveshaft spacer

What he said. I think most people end up usually using a 1" spacer unless they've got some ridiculous 6"+ lift. I don't know much about CV drops, never really researched that at all.
