Removed Charcoal filter, K&N filter, and that's it until I can save a bit
I have the liners, not the mats. Seen here. I have them front and rear in my access cab. They are absolutely amazing. Completely worth the cost to me. Mine are filthy but when I remove them, the carpet underneath is perfect. If I could go back, I'd buy the exact same thing again.

One thing, my truck is 6 spd. Had to shave the floor liner near the clutch pedal, but it isn't a big deal. Just a little butt hole puckering because of the price. Voids warranty as well.

    Buy once, cry once.

I am very happy with my WeatherTech digital fit mats front and back.

When you consider the difference in cost more or less $100, then divide the cost by say 5 years it only costs $20 per year or $1.67 per month to have the better mats.

Mine are actually liners which are better than mats i.e. More coverage.

Mine came with the all weather mats and my buddy bought some weather techs. Mine are okay but his appear to be much sturdier and rigid. I also noticed that the weather techs cover more area and protect more carpeting. I can see where his might hold up longer. I am glad for my mats though. Easy to clean and shake out.

You could find a tacoma carpet from the salvage yard, then bed line the whole thing.

Not sure if its still going, but Weathertech often does group buys or may have discounted pricing for tacomaworld members! I wasn't very impressed with the OME all weather mats, in the winter all the snow/ice/salt/mud from your boots gets all on the side of the drivers side flooring and siding of the foot well. Not great coverage

Yea I figured that the weather techs have better coverage and durability and I guess hence the price difference. Good point Holeshot that its $20 a year for 5 years...

I've seen several members here give rave reviews about the Husky liners.

WeatherTech DigitalFit are great floorliners. The Toyota's are like "Welcome Mats". If the DigitalFit are too pricey, get the 'WeatherTech All-Weather' for about $100. Much better than "Toyo's". I've ordered a few things direct from them with no problems.

If you hit Amazon on the right day you can get a great deal on Rugged Ridge all weather mats. I bought them and they're great.

Skip the WeatherTechs and go for the Husky X-act Contours.

The WeatherTechs have been around for awhile and were the only really good option for a long time. There were also Husky WeatherBeaters which are essentially the same as the WeatherTechs. Both fit fine and have good coverage, but they are made from a rather rigid plastic. That can make the fit awkward and just doesn't seem right for a floor mat to me.

The Husky X-act Contours are relatively recent. They have the same excellent fit and coverage as the WeatherTechs but they are made from a more pliable material that is actually like what you'd expect from a floor mat. I got those and love them. I was about to buy WeatherTechs because they have been the default choice for so long, was glad I spent the time to do a little more research because to me the X-act Contours are now the superior choice in every way.

My brother has a set of Weathertechs in his Subaru. They fit perfectly and seem to be very durable. They are pricy but worth the extra cash.

My truck came with the Toyota all weather mats. They stayed in about 2 weeks because that's how long it took for me to get some WeatherTechs. I have had WeatherTech liners in numerous vehicles and love them. I have also heard good things about the Huskys but I don't have any experience with them.

Both the WTs and Huskys cover a LOT more carpet/floor than the Toyota mats.

I have had WeatherTechs for 2 years in my Tacoma and Huskies for 10 years in my Tundra. They are both good quality and I would buy both again.

My Weather Techs look much better, they really have a custom look, very trick.

My Huskies are deeper and hold liquid much better. Huskies are more practical for work, mud and snow.

    Excellent post. Thank you.
I currently have the OEM rubber mats. They do as advertised.
I've had the weathertechs in previous Tacomas and my only 2 complaints: the plastic feel under foot. And the half coverage of the left four rest.

Appears Husky has addressed both. And may have another customer.
