Too bad that 1.8 million doesn't include the beach. Trips to get some furniture for the new house would definitely be interesting lol.

 

? you get the whole island, so yes the beach, or technically anything above the hi tide line. Legally, kayakers or boats may stop at your beach, and common marine courtesy is as a mariner you do not disturb the residents.

I'm on a 2year with Telus $65/mo 2GB Unltd Nationwide calling and text. Been with Telus since the Clearnet days, so 14 years :|
I only deal with the loyalty dept and that's the best I can really get.
They did unlock my iPhone for free, which saved my buying an unlocked phone... guess that's a perk.

In the UK I had a Sim card for unlimited data, calls, texts, for 15 Pounds. crazy how cheap it is there.

 

That's what I was getting at. I thought ownership only started at the vegetation line though/high water mark, not the high tide line (I think those are slightly different things, no?) I can't remember which act covers beaches, but I remember our supervisor telling us that when I went on a marine biology and sailing trip when I was a kid:

"Once you have located this line of permanent vegetation, you need to mark out a continuous strip along the shoreline. This will represent the division between the body of water and the land. Basically, if you were on a beach in the Caribbean you would take a piece of tape and wrap it around all the palm trees closest to the water. This would provide you with the high water mark, and define the boundary."

 

I dont think that would be a big issue. Others would rarely be on the beach, it's not a resort with an open bar haha

 

Yeah, I get that they have to charge more to keep our well dispersed network up and running, but we still have some of the highest rates in the world. I'm really glad I adopted the iPhone early (3GS) and that Telus has let me keep my plan from back then.

 

I know I was kidding around. Some 'Mericans come crawling around here and I wanted to see if any of them would go Nuclear over that .

I just remember on our Marine Bio trip we could go to any Canadian Island and go anywhere we wanted on the beach up to the vegetation line, because that's where we were told public property ends and private rights begin.

 

Sure- hi water, hi tide line, i was thinking its same difference in the drama of my mind.

 

Pretty cheap considering

very cool. can't wait to get back to the islands for work.

 

Same thing happened in this case , there is a 100m set back they have to stay clear of the whales when they are under power , they only can get this close if the whale approaches the boat with the motors shut down

NDP didn't lose in the BC election because of their no pipeline stance , they lost because they promised a shit load of new programs and never said where any of the money was going to come from
