Yeah I can imagine the tubes would be.. I think since I won't have as many tubes like yours it'll be okay and save me a bunch of time/money.

How many coats do you think Ben?

I promise it won't save you any time... Took me FOREVER to paint mine, and it was already bare metal. May save you some coin, however.

Time wise shouldnt be to bad unless you are trying to put it on tomorrow. I gave each of my primer coats 4 hours of dry time (even though they were dry to touch after 30 minutes or so) and then did about the same for each top coat. Its held up pretty well so far but only have a couple hundred miles so far. It wont take all that much to scratch on a rock so no sense in my mind doing tons and tons of coat. Just get an extra can for touch up when needed.

On another note....got my CB installed. Now i need to tune it. Is the only way to tune it with a SWR meter? Any recommendations on a cheap one?

And on a last note i had an awesome dream last night. Walked in Lowes (or home depot same difference) and everything was 75-80% off and i was the first one there. And i mean EVERYTHING. I was kinda sad to wake up and realize i didnt have a welder, air compressor, air impact, and some other stuff in the garage

Yep, you'll need an SWR meter to tune. You're welcome to borrow mine.

I also have one and I should double check my own antenna. Anybody want to get together for wrenching this weekend? I have an easy job just need a extra set of hands and space to work.

I'll be wrenching, but I only have space for myself (bleh to renting) and I really don't want to go far on the truck at the moment (steering rack is being sketchy, waiting on bushings to arrive).
    :(

Oh shit.. No idea what it could be other than obviously something they did..

Should I use grade 8 bolts on the front bumper since im winching and being pulled by it? Or use grade 5 that Will gave me so they break at a certain pressure to not screw anything up?

The bumpers I have installed always used the factory bolts except for in the areas where drilling was necessary.

5 seems weak... I'd called the shop that made it though.

I just read this, hopefully it helps.

    http://tinelok.com/grade-5-vs-grade-8-fasteners/

Didn't one of you just install a King lift? I played with starting mine and found out the remote resi holders won't fit unless I grind down the bump stop plate thing. Was this normal for you?

Ok @northwesttaco i took your advice, and instead of drilling a 2" hole in my bumper, i removed a license plate light, and used that hole, but YAY! i was working hard today! relocated my 7pin trailer electrical plug today! and i installed hood struts! oh it is so nice to have my hood go up by itself automatically! so i'm happy!

So you local dudes are aware...

Auburn Offroad is who rebuilt my shocks and Joe's coilovers. I have called more than 20 shops in the Seattle area, none of them are able to do it. Going to give XO Fab on Monday... They seem promising.

My past experience with Auburn Offroad was superb, which is why I recommended them to Joe, and took my shocks there too. This experience was less than ideal. These should have been done nearly two weeks ago, or one of the other 4 dates he told me they'd be done, after missing the first deadline.

He's going to make it right on Monday (after I drive there are back twice for a total of about 80 miles), but it'll be the last time I go there...

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I think they screwed up something in the resi. Or they dicked up the seal when doing it. Either that or they over pressured it

Got the bumper mounted! It is bent a little bit but i'll get used to it.. Im going to go down to this welding shop in Snohomish and see if he can fab up some hoops for me, or at least get a quote. Then sand blast/powder coat it and it'll be done and on.
