    Lol I gotta get them powder coated or painted. Might not be gold though.

    It's a good set up. I got it all used and really cheap so that's a plus. Plus the maf calibrator tops it off but recently I've noticed it won't upshift normally. It'll stay in third or fourth sometimes.

    Good as new after that, yeah I think there's a place in Kona that deals with anodized paint, don't quote me on it though.

    2nd hand is still good, sounds like a killa setup, I gotta hear dat Bahgah in person, must sound animo! as for the maf calibrator, I know I heard of the maf sensor or even the map sensor giving out, causing the idle to fluctuate. Any of those symptoms? Or just the abnormal shifting?

    Slightly. I did have a problem with the wiring too though and haven't yet soldered in all of the connections. The guy I bought it from made a "harness" so I didn't have to cut and splice but it wasn't solid enough and was coming apart

    Smart, yup when it comes to wiring I don't really wanna mess around too much, harnesses are the best way to go. Hopefully it's not a fuel problem, running rich and causing it to unload in third thus creating that irratic shifting, but I'm pretty sure the maf calibrator only adjusts the air flow, nothing to do w/fuel, unless it's the URD calibrator, I know it taps into the ecu

    Yeah I got the URD one. It does force it into giving more fuel since it sees more air intake

    Maybe the ecu is not adjusting properly to the maf calibrator. I had a bad map sensor on an old truck of mine, gave the same discription of symptoms that you have, I had installed bigger fuel injectors which effected the oem map, had to upgrade to an aftermarket map to compasate for the air to fuel ratio, still ran super rich but no irratic shifting. Or it could be as simple as some wires with a bad connection on the harness like you were saying

    Hopefully won't have to get a new map but idk it's not such a big deal. I've noticed it's more when I am going uphill like on haihai and I am still on the throttle it'll stay In a lower gear

    The shop that anodizes is the same one that powder coats. The building directly below costco.

    spent half my weekend camping/fishing. Now im back to swapping out my friends taco motor..and now I have to part the 94 runner I was going to 3.4. I got some more shit for my taco too, so maybe ill move that under the cover and pull it apart one of these days..
