    Mine went 103K without a problem. The only reason I got rid of it and got a Tacoma was I needed 4 wheel drive.

    Ford makes a good truck these days. I think their over priced, but that's what they say about Tacomas!

    I hope I do, unless frame rust, drive line vibrations, or some other problem hits me first. My Toyota pickup hit "forever" at 234k, and needed a new motor. There are plenty of guys on the F-150 forums with trucks well over 200K. Toyota fanboys are worse than Apple fanboys

    Anyone can go on KBB and look. Mine is valued at 1k more than what I payed. Payed 30.6k before tax/title. 2015 DCSB Sport loaded with everything. KBB a 2014 and I bet its more than 30.6k.

    Maybe you got a good deal, but I promise your truck didn't go up in value. There is no shortage of 2015 DCSB sports. Wish I had a dealer around me who sold trucks for less than their worth.

    30.6 is a great buy for a TRD Sport...if it's a 4x4.

    But even if it is a 4x4, you will not get 31.6 for that truck today.

    KBB:
    Trade value = $25,521 (TRD Sport prerunner)
    Private party sale + $27,662

    Same truck in 4x4:
    Trade = $28,735
    Private = $30,994

    :thumbsup: :cheers:

    It is a 4x4. And yes I use to work there and got a great deal. You ask someone to post up the numbers so I did. Can I sell it for more than what I paid? No. Will it hold its value better than any other truck? Yes.

    You did get get a great buy :thumbsup:

    But this is incorrect:
    And that was my point. No new truck is worth more than you paid a year later.

    Yes, the Tacoma has one of the best resale/trade values in the biz. It's alliwed mr to own 3 of them. (2010-2012-2015)
    :cheers:

    According to KBB it is valued at 1.5k more than what I paid so yes I was incorrect.

    I thought the debate was whether or not a truck could be worth more than what someone paid? If not then even in 6 months when my truck is 1 year old it will still be worth more according to KBB. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. I don't plan to trade my truck in and see how close I can get but you ask for the numbers.. was simply obliging you. I will now retire from this conversation. Carry on gentlemen!

    If your Toyota motor blew at 234K,why did you buy another? Doesn't make sense:confused:

    Interesting.......I wasn't aware the Tacoma had come out with and electric motor for their trucks. Maybe that explains why the 234k "motor" went out. You should get one with an engine next time....maybe it will last longer.

    The guy's worried about frame rust and lives in CA. Calm down.

    Im happy for you. Serious. You got an excellent deal.
    However, you are delusional if you think your truck is worth more than you paid.
