I'm chopping away the to-do list. But I have to triage them for different reasons.

For instance, I was 90% done with a replacement for the control panel to see all your watched threads and new pm's (that homer, blackdawg and others wanted) then realized I had to change X, Y and Z to facilitate that and some other features.

Another feature on the list may strain the server so I had to configure the site to use a CDN (content distribution network) to offload some of the serving tasks before I could release that.

    Etc, etc

    Everything will get done though.

I'm sure it'll be a huge relief to you when you've got the new site in the comfort zone of where the old one was..

think of all the free time you'll have away from TW once all the changes/improvements are made! Oh man, you'll go from 20 hours a day to only 16, other than time posting to live that is.. Should be like a vacation for you. Until, of course, the inevitable happens and you have to make a new "new site".

Well, we'll all get back to looking for things to keep you busy as you work your way through the modest list we keep adding to with every complaint, query, and woeful suggestion!:blahblah:

I think it's been mentioned before but is a "thread being viewed by ______" feature in the works?

Thanks for all the hard work sir! I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we truly appreciate it!!!

Seeing a bit of an 'update lag'

Meaning...my 'tab red thingey number' is 2 for '2 updates', but I click onto the the TW tab and have a 4 because the tab one hasn't updated yet

Is there a built-in delay timer or somesuch?

Yes it's about 8 seconds. Once I get an idea of how it handles under full load (weeknights) I'll make the delay shorter...

It's working for me too, cool. I do like the one email a day for the watched threads, cuts down so much on being busy on the phone all the time. Nice move on TW's to update the site.

So I've noticed the thread thumbnail previews don't always update when a new pic or video is posted in a thread. And some threads have thumbnails for pics not posted in that thread.

I could see how making a major change would create a domino effect of other changes/problems. Hopefully those bumps in the road are few and far between. We'll be patient Bob, promise!

I noticed last night that a few pics and avatars were missing which was one of the symptoms of last weekend's issues. But I was digging through an older thread so maybe the pics had been moved, etc and that would explain why they weren't showing up. If I can find them again I'll let you know.

Yup that's why I guessed IE. One of our network partners is having a very specific technical issue where certain avatars won't show on Internet Explorer. I've been working with them for a week to get it resolved.

    Imma help you with that

Step 1, advise user to download Chrome or Firefox or even Safari FFS
Step 2, advise user to get rid of Internet Exploder
Step 3, whack user upside melon for bringin' that shit onto your network

    Totes free advice

Probably the same cause for the IE missing avatars. When we fix it, it'll work for your kindle as well.
