What air filter is in you truck??

    Just curious what Paper air filter do you preferred for your v6 3.4??? I just bought a Napa gold.

    When this case is gone I will go with either the Napa Gold or Toyota

    I believe Napa gold is the same as wix. Why u going back to Toyota filter? U didn't like the wix? Btw I'm using a six atm but when change is need I'm going to get a OEM filter

    Napa gold is a rebranded wix pretty much. As. Far as paper filters go i usually bought the cheapest (motomaster which i believe is a fram). Compared to oem on my corolla there wasnt much of a difference.

    afe pro-dry mostly because of the state of the roads here in the north, its cleanable.

    My local auto parts closed the doors He got in way over his head.

    He was the nearest Wix distributor I had no problem with the filters used them for most all my filter needs.

    Why go with Toyota the convenience easy to say just get me a case of air filters

    Same with Napa just who I happen to be on the phone with when my old brain remembers I need filters.

    We also run an aFe PRO DRY in my son's truck, and I run an Airaid SynthaMax on my CAI. Both are cleanable and neither requires oiling.

    its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
    I agree with this, I don't see much difference between the the high price paper filters with the bargain type paper,as far as filtering capacities.

    K&N drop in filter, URD rear simulator, Deck plate mod/home made CAI, No rear cat, MagnaFlow muffler
    K&N since 1998, when I traded my 98 Taco for a new one in 2001 I swapped the filters and kept my K&N, Same K&N filter for 17 years, wash it, let it dry, oil it lightly and it keeps going and going and going :D.

    When I owned my 1st gen, I had a K&N. I currently run AFE Prodry in the 2nd gen.
    I have no complaints with either of them. I went with the pro-dry to try it out and essentially eliminating the oiling process.

    Why are so many people against the K&N? I have had mine for 8 years still going strong. (Thats a ton of money saved) I read something along the lines of messing up the MAF.

    If applied too heavily, which many owners tend to do, oil from (any) oiled air filter CAN be pulled into the intake and condense on the MAF, causing problems. Going with a "dry" filter filter like those from aFe or Airaid retains the benefit of being "reusable" without any risk of oil fouling the MAF.

    It comes from too much oil on their K&N, a light coat is all that is needed,
