I have seen Toyota trucks from the salt and rust belt that are pristine, trucks by Carfax that are from the recall areas, but are pristine, like an Arizona truck. Someone took care of them.

The Pro and Baja have different part numbers for the fronts. According to Toyota and most Magazine Reviews the pro has a bit different shock valving and softer front springs than the Baja. The rear springs are the same on all current TRD OR / Pro / and Baja's. I have yet to see any published spring rates for either the Baja or the Pro, but have driven both and the Pro is definitely a tad softer in the front (not quite as harsh as the Baja). Not a huge difference, but noticeable. All other differences are cosmetic...grill / lack of decals / color matched stuff / hood / Pro carpet mats....nothing that is performance oriented.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Haha thanks, I am from Iowa actually but yes I was in Kansas..

The BAJA suspension was all the suspension parts or kit added to the 2013 offroad model. Minus the sway bar.

The PRO is a brand new 2015 truck. As far as washboards I haven't found any down here in nc yet. I do feel like I get more nose dive in the PRO when braking, otherwise it just seems a touch softer in the front.

The back springs are the same worthless offroad package springs as always. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with corporate making sure that I filed a complaint there so the apply the TSB or recall to it as well. As it stands nothing applies at the moment to my 2015 PRO.

Toyota recommended I buy a a wieght distribution hitch to solve the problem. I told them the truth as it stands right nor fresh off the showroom floor this truck is unsafe to move my empty trailer. It drops to the bump stops or dangerously close, I can pick up the tongue so it cannot be over the 900 lb payload. . Haha. Last time I had it on a scale my trailer was just about 2000 total empty and I have not fed it at all

Also I have the entire stock TRD OR suspension and planned to keep the baja parts for spares/possible hybrid but it ended up going with the truck. I was gone and my wife doesn't know how to do any of that stuff.

So I just installed the Baja suspension kit on my 2007 TRD Sport... And man was I blown away. Mostly because the stock suspension was so rough, but it literally is a night & day difference! I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Also, I had the rear leaf spring TSB (3+1 overload spring) a few yrs back causing my truck to be significantly lower towards the front. Now, I'm pleased to say I am completely level on both ends. It's raining really hard now in my area of Houston, but pics are soon to come

Congrats! I was surprised too. And I was very happy with it. Im sure there are better things out there, but I really liked mine.

I would suggest hitting all the metal parts on the new baja pieces to keep them from rusting. Other than that mine survives 20k of heavy use, with no problems other than rust. I planned to keep it but plans change! Enjoy!

Nice. Did you do the Baja install yourself? I'm undecided if I'm going to attempt it, have the dealer install it, or have another off-road place do it. Not sure what the labor cost would be?

Its not bad. If you have basic tools, a large pry bar and floor jack with 2 jack stands it takes an afternoon or so.

I felt the same way when I first drove my Baja. I'm very pleased and simply enjoy the shit out of this setup. I've had a different Tacoma with the stock off road suspension, a sport that I changed to 5100's & TC UCA's and a Dakar leaf pack in the rear......this by far to me out does them!!!!

People don't understand sometimes when I say it lol.

I have driven tons and tons of different setups. And my favorite every day driver/moderate toy so far is the baja setup and now my PRO. Its very well rounded, its not really the best of anything it just does exactly what I wanted. And it is factory backed.

My 81 still does things offroad my tacoma could dream of. But it can pull a trailer, it isn't nearly as nice on the road etc..

I really like that unlike a full long travel or other stuff that I could do to a Tacoma it still works like the truck I need it to be not just as a toy.

    F*ck Toyota! They don't have a clue.

I have the Canadian Sport model with 3 plus overload springs. I added Air Lift Ride Control air bags (#59561) to help when towing. They are a straight bolt on, with no hacking of the jounce stops like the Firestones. I also have a 2" AAL and 1" block spacer.

Don't forget to order the air line 'T" and drill/mount the filler valve beside your trailer light bracket. Neat and tidy.

No need to go balls to the wall and spend stupid money ($300 +) on an on-board compressor. I bought this at Cambodian Tire for $50. Handy little bugger.

oh hell yes they are retards. It was the only thing they could think of to not blame the springs for being bs!

Thats a nice setup!! I might have to go with that route! I had airbags in a runner at one point and they worked good but it suvked when I blew one out.

Its nice to see someone else that actually tows something! Other than the springs, and properly equipped with trailer brakes the Tacoma actually tows very well.

    And your truck is pretty!

Tac, it's not a good idea to run the air valves off a T, when you go into a turn compression on one side can cause increase pressure to the other side, can cause problems!
Also, I've run both types of airbags, prefer the Firestones, pisses me off they recomend cutting the bump stops off, just stupid advice, remove them instead.
And finally, add the Daystar cradles improves the off road performance, allows greater flex, and disconnects you from lower axle mount.
    Hopefully that makes sense...

Thanks for the input. I had my old airbags on a t fitting and when I blew a bag I lost both. Made for an interesting ride.. lol

Seeing a lot of ways to combat the Taco squat, but not sure what I should do. 15 Pro DCSB, I'd like to level it out, but also thinking of towing. So, AAL , bags, etc? Would like to know what others are doing..

so far I have had great success with AAL. How much are you planning to tow? The 3 leaf progressive leaf levels my pro nicely with the overloads taken out. Had a medium load of stuff from home depot the other day and it did good. I have not pulled my trailer yet with it. I ran a heavier 2 inch single full length AAL in my other tacoma s and they worked well

I tow the full capacity of the tacoma regularly but if you are anything lighter that say 4k or so its a guess at this point but I think the 3 leaf progressive from wheelers should be just fine.

Anything over 4k or so you should look into some form of trailer brakes. They are easy to wire in since toyota have you a 7 pin on the truck and a plug on the harness under the dash with a pigtail for a trailer brake controller.
