Yeah, they weren't dicks about it (more of a "we just figured out how much these things go for"), but I bet if I had showed up in a beater that price would not have gone up...

I figure I still did ok and didn't have to do much to install it. Now I just gotta figure out where to get new keys :-(

I think undercover can help you out with that. My cover isn't on my truck ATM, but There may either be a key code on the locks they can get you new keys with or the serial number on the cover may help them get the ones you need.

Yeah, with all the turd floater rains we have had lately, this cover is going to help keep all the IT equipment I deliver to clients dry (hopefully). Called Undercover, they said all they need is the code off the lock and they would send new keys. Sweet.

    Yes.
I acquired a set of practically new rear leaf springs today. I think I'm going to build a hybrid leaf pack, taking the middle leaf from one set, chop the ends off, and insert it into the second set.
now I just need some 5100s as a short term solution in addition to the Taco Lean spacer.

I went and got there close to 11 and all there clearance stuff was gone. They did have several vendor's with some discounted prices on most of the items. They called it their show price.

I've heard the clearance and blemish stuff is usually super cheap. I have a friend going tomorrow and is gonna let me know what they have with prices. Maybe they'll be more willing to drop their prices since it's the last day.

Finally got around to doing the diff breather mod. Took 8x longer than it should have because I started with what had to be either undersized 1/4" tubing or 5/16" is really what everyone should be using. Ended up going back to O'Rileys and getting 5/16", both ends connected with 95% less insanity but still a very good (I dare say correct) fit. Also put the new Depo black tail lights in at the same time as I was putting the breather behind the tail light.

    Yes.
besides the tubing, what parts are necessary for the diff breather mod? And can all of the parts be sourced at Autozone/PepBoys/Etc?

You need a union and a breather. Both are obtained from the dealer. Think it was $14 for both of mine. The. $10 of hose and 2 hose clamps.

It's a slam dunk job. I've done it on my old 4Runner and on my Taco. It takes about 30 minutes if you're taking your time.

For both of the above quotes, I went with the Ironman 4x4 lift. It feels very similar to the factory ride quality and provided right at 2" once the front settled. I think I had something like 2.5" for the first 1000k. I originally had a 1.5" AAL, but upgraded to the Dakars about 20k down the road. Kind of wish I had gone with the Dakar pack from the beginning.

That's a good, but expensive option.

I have some old TSB springs that I'm about to throw away if you want them. The driver side main leaf is bent, but the rest are good.

I haven't either, but I'm not a big fan of water crossings. As a teenager in NM I saw lots of people attempt to cross the Rio Grande only to get stuck and have to get the tractor out to retrieve said vehicle. Lots of nasty brown water in lots of trucks. This process usually involved some level of inebriation which may have contributed to the problems. All that being stated, with all of the rain we've had and all of the water I've seen lately I have been thinking that the mod is a good idea.

It's a good idea to do even if you aren't driving through 3 foot deep water crossings. Keeps all types of junk out of it

Just look at the build thread
I haven't done mine either. But since my breather on my axle is all clogged up and doesn't work anyway, I'm not too worried about anything getting in.
