pretty soon i'll need to head down there for a bed rack. Today I took apart the entire dash and found a cluster**** of wires and jerryrigged things. So there's a project for next weekend -_-

Atleast you will know who did it. Bet you wish you didn't give away all the electrical parts.

Better get a fire extinguisher for the truck, just saying.

haha don't worry, I have a fire extinguisher. And also have the battery unattached lol.
Nah, I still have plenty of wire and doohickeys. The hard part for now is following the wires and see where they go.
Example: 4 wires butt connected into wires coming from a harness just underneath the steering wheel. Those 4 wires go behind the carpet to a push switch on the floor. That switch is the high beam switch. :frusty:

Has anyone used the Rough Country 745N2 3" lift? It's only $250 for the whole kit. The price is scaring me. Seems too good to be true. All the pictures I see are exactly what I want the Taco to look like. I don't believe reviews on manufacturer websites and Amazon has mixed reviews (though the negative seem to be against the seller, not the product).

If anyone has used it - and deems it worthy - how hard is the install? Can I simply Jack it up and use some good ole' southern muscle to get it running?

My only issue with it is that I hate block lifts. I hate the way they ride. Something that would be better is an AAL, or if you really wanna get into it, get some chevy leafs like Sandman.
Rough country is normally pretty good, I see them on all the redneck trucks. So if you don't have a problem with having a slightly rougher ride in the back I see no issue with this one.
The install isn't too bad. Did one very similar to this on my buddy's Dakota. Essentially, yes you can do it with a jack, some friends, and some beer. We did it with a lift cause we have those on post :D

In general spacer lifts are bad...look into either bilstein 5100s or old man emu....spend the money now on something that is great quality.....just my .02

Yeah, the 5100s and rear aal is the cheapest/best imo.
