At least no hydrolock. Phew.

 

I threw a check engine light for a p0106 which is an ecm malfunction. Needles to say I was shitting bricks. I cleared it and luckily nothing has come back so far but I had had weird issues like sometimes I will pull the emergency brake and the lights on the dash will go crazy. The starter is working only intermittently. I actually popped the clutch to get it started in Mexico and didn't shut off the vehicle until I was on U.S. soil just to be safe.

Bring lots of beer, mosquito repellant, and something to take a lot of pictures. It's hard to remember to take pics but the more you do the more you'll be able to remember. There is so much that happens. You'll go harder than most people there. Make sure you trust your spotter. If you have a good spotter you'll be set.

I had issues with the truck not starting sometimes. It's a manual trans so I would make a friend push it to jump start it but after a day of this I pulled the starter and it was all corroded of course. Sanded the copper washer on the plunger and the two copper pieces it connects with and bam fires right up no issues what so ever. I'm really pleased with he end results of burying my truck in water. I don't recommend it but I have heard of a lot worse happening.

 

Still have he interior out of the truck other than my box and the seats.

 

I think I'm going to build a little bench seat with a storage compartment instead of putting the center console back in. I don't really like the stock center console as it leads to complaints from passengers during road head.

 

I've been doing a bunch of stuff. Not a whole lot with the truck but being unemployed has definitely been different for me. I had an interview yesterday and am starting my new job as a special inspector on a nice commercial project. I'm pretty pumped because it's so much better than what I was previously doing for work. My boss is way cooler now. It's by the beach. And I'll be making more money

 

This is the best thing ever. Pretty much my life. Cheeseburger eating mother fucker.
