Kool-Aid. Fuelly lists the Coyote as getting about 15 mpg with the old body and 17 mpg with the new. I'm getting about 17 mpg DURING BREAK IN lol.

    So are mine :notsure:.

My V6 Tacoma gets about 16 mpg from the scangauge, mostly highway. I'm S/C and have 33" tires on (the scangauge compensates for tire size). My mileage did not significantly change when I S/C'd. My wifes F150 gets 17 mpg combined, mostly city. On the highway it regularly dips over 20 mpg. I'm extremely impressed with the new aluminum F150 so far. I'm sure it'll hold up just like my 2009 did, which is still at work as a parts truck with 270,000 km's on the clock. It did not have an easy life with a 1,000 lbs soil sampler in the back for several months of the year and field scouting for the rest of the time.

Actually, I help run a fleet at work (Agrium) for our location and not even our Ram 2500's hit mileage numbers that bad. Those numbers are calculated right from fuel receipts and mileage logs.

Tundra = 10 year old design with extremely high operating costs.

Last time we had a Tundra in the system at work it was getting about 13 mpg. That's over 10% worse than the Ford F150 Ecoboost at work. Oh, and that Tundra was owned by a manager who did no towing, soil sampling, or deliveries.

Tundra also depreciates faster than Ford and GM. Non warranty repairs are expensive as well.

Our company ditched all of the Tundra's in the corporate fleet a year ago due to the costs. Expensive off the bat and in the garage, and honestly nothing special. Toyota could do so much better :(.

If your looking for reliability and toughness there isn't a better mid or full size truck on the market than Toyota trucks(TRUTH).

mine was an impulse buy and i worked for Toyota for 4 years. Doesnt mean because i own one im a ignorant fan boy (not directed to you). Im open to all models and have owned all the big names. All have their strengths and weakness'. But the amount of fanboyism is terrible. Its a mid size truck, why would you even compare it to a fullsize truck? Stupid.

I buy the truck I need. I love the size, weight, and power of the Tacoma S/C off road. I love the ride, size, and capabilities of our F150 on road.

Tundra was never an option when we bought the F150. I wasn't going to pay 5-10K more for a Tundra that drinks gas by the gallon and wasn't going to keep any of the extra money I was spending when I sell it in 5-7 years.

just because its a toyota site doesnt mean i have to agree with the idiots going "ZOMG TOYOTA TOYOTA TOYOTA".

I have an open mind with my 30-40k investments. Not blindly buying a truck because the logo it has like 80% the people here.

Im still on several GM forums all day everyday. But they're not brand robots.

So in order to participate on a website for a truck I own I must be a total Toyota fanboy? You need to start buying things because they fit your need, not because of the brand on the front.

I make the same arguments on Ford forums against guys who think that an F150 FX4 can go anywhere. Even my TRD Sport DCLB can go further in the mountains than the FX4 just because the size of an F150 is too big for that.

you asked why i bought a toyota. Now you're misleading people to try to prove a very ignorant point.

I bought a toyota because it was an impulse buy. Had you left the rest of my post you would show that. But that goes against your small minded argument.

Mush Mouse owns a 2004 TRD Offroad. He probably see's anyone who buys a new truck as an idiot. That's just the 1st gen attitude on here sometimes. It's sad.
