    This isn't a Toyota site, it's a Tacoma site.

Being a Fanboy is stupid for any brand. You're missing out on so much when you only buy Toyota because it's Toyota.

New frame much? How fun is changing the water pump on that first generation? Want me to put a thousand pound soil sampler on the back and see how long things hold up?

The 1st gen trucks were nice, but for most of us we've moved on to vehicles that fit our lives and work styles better.

Oh and thanks is spelled with a k please and thanK you ;).

Self proclaiming a statement to be the truth doesn't make it so.
YOU asked for specific examples of what I felt were the Tacoma's weaknesses. No one has said the Toyotas are inferior. The only troll I see in this thread has been you.
You can be a Toyota fanboy on any site. Just don't expect the rest of the people on that site to be quite as cattle-like.

On the midsize...Tacoma OWNES the market for obvious and stated reasons. But, a bit of an overstatement on the full size part.

Please, show me where in that post I even mention Ford, let alone praise them. Go ahead, I'll wait :)
When it comes to my money, I do not feel obligated to be loyal to any particular brand. I'll buy what best suits my needs at the time. Funny how when you reliability argument starts getting knocked down you shift your argument to loyalty... When was the last time you got a check from Toyota? Do you think Toyota corporate cares if you go to Ford, GM, Dodge, etc? What's the incentive to being loyal to any particular brand (and that doesn't just go for vehicles)?

Easy ived owned Chevy and Ford before my first Toyota and its easy for me to say for my needs the 3 Toyota trucks were far more reliable and far better quality than the Domestics so that's called brand Loyality. Im not the one going awe my driveline has vibes(it don't) or I got frame rust(its been undercoated and if it did rot I would get a new frame) and it cant handle a soil sampler?(didn't buy to).

This reminds me of a saying my dad always used to use. "Never argue with an idiot, they just drag you to their level and beat you with experience"

Beside the fact that people are arguing about trucks in two totally different segments I would remind everyone that the sales figures aren't even close to each other as well. 880k units for the F150 as opposed to 155k units for the Tacoma last year. The F150 to be competitive with the full size market also is updated more often and contains way more electronics. With those stats alone you will always hear about more problems with an F150 than a Tacoma.

And yes, I did just get a used 2012 F150 ecoboost. I have only had it for a handful of days but it is not even comparable to a Tacoma and a Tacoma is not even comparable to an F150. It's all about needs and wants.
