    TRD super charger, URD fuel mods and 2.1 super grip pully, Headers, 2.5" glass pack, Dana 60 front 4 linked, 14bolt rears on chev 63's, 5.38 gears, ARB locker in the front, PSC full hydraulic steering, 18" SAW 2.5" triple rate coils overs, FOA 2.5 air bumps, B&M launch controls, B&M trans cooler, 4 alpine 6X8 type R's amped, Red led rock lights, CBI front and rear bumpers (my design) CBI sliders, 4 riggid dualys front 2 in the rear, custom track bar, ARB snorkle, warn VR8000 winch, Viair 480c twin compressers..
    I did fine on a mini truck FA for years but 37's was the max it could handle with my driving style but there are guys out there with 40's on mini truck axles not breaking. All depends on how you wheel.

    The Craigslist said it was inverted....I've seen inverted leaf packs.

    I was by no means saying that he should get one. D60 FTMFW. I was just saying smaller axles can be used and wheeled and survive just depending on driving style so get what you want build it the way you want and have fun.

    I actually thought about pulling the transfer case and front axle out of my 4Runner and just putting it in my truck. But there's no way to do it that I would be happy with.

    better just start hunting for a D60 or win the lottery and buy a rockjock60

    I just don't want to have to swap rear axles is the main reason that I don't want a D60. But it's still all up in the air at this point. I work at a steel plant where we take crushed cars and shred them up to be melted into steel. So I'll probably end up with whatever axles I can find in good shape from there.

    I'd seriously consider buying that D44 from your friend. That is a good deal. I have a similar built D44 and it holds up decently to a 37 tire and I am NOT EASY on this truck. I bounce the fucker, rev limiter all the time, sometimes trying to get up the same hill climb for 30 minutes. For 1k you aren't out much money. I spent 4k+ on my axle.... Get the D44, run the fuck out of it for a couple years and if you really want to, go tons.

    also there are hub kits for the dana's to convert to 6X5.5 so if you find a 60 save it from being destroyed.

    It's a good starter kit that's for sure. Scotty on pirate makes them looking really nice. I don't recommend TG anything however..., it's a good starting point.
