BTW. In case anyone hasn't seen them yet. EBC has some new pad technology out. They are the Extra Duty light truck pads and are supposed to have better braking with less of the usual compromises on fade/dust/noise etc. I'm not actually sure yet where they fall in braking power as compared to the yellow/green lines. I have some on order for my tundra conversion.

Edit: OK these have been out since 2013 so they are not that new. They have a GG friction rating which I think is basically in line with their orange pad line. They also come with piston insert noise silencers.

Edit 2: These are based on an Orange Stuff formula.

Hmm..according to ebc's website green stuff pads are not made for truck or suv applications which I find strange because I know a lot of tacomas on here run them

I didn't remember the website stating it so strongly until you pointed it out. I wonder if they just recently revised their recommendation. It's strange cuz so many of the rotor/pad Stage III kits I have seen for Tacoma/Tundra (like on CarID.com) still show the GD rotors with Green pads.

i had the EBC greenstuff pads back when i had stock sized brakes. i have tundra brakes now, i went with some brembo blank rotors and brembo pads. My rotors are already warped pretty badly and it hasn't even a year. Next im gonna do rear disc conversion and replace the front discs and pads

Wow. That's scary. Is rotor warping a heat problem or is it something to do with the original installation, I wonder.

I wanna say heat. Ive done brakes before, i also read how to properly bed them in and i followed that procedure. Im not sure why i keep warping rotors. my stock sized ones warped because the pistons were sticking. now my new calipers arent sticking and the rotors are warped again.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
They start off by talking about the '2000' series, and than add this:

    • Greenstuff 2000 series for sport compact and hot hatches
    • Greenstuff 6000 series for entry level truck and SUV upgrade
    • Greenstuff 7000 low dust Truck and SUV Brakes

I've been happy with my EBC rotors and greenstuff pad combo.

I'm doing some reading just now and it does look like bad break-in is one common cause. Also it looks like slotted rotors help.

    ^He's right you know.
Warped brakes normally indicates improper brake bias. Rear disks aren't going to help that problem. Besides, how many semi trucks have you seen with disk brakes?

I'm on my second set of 6000's. And I've never warped a rotor and only got them to fade once. And I sincerely doubt there's anyone on this thread that's as hard on brakes (and their truck in general) as I am.
As I mentioned before, the key is brake bias. The Tacoma LSPV blows goats and is impossible to predict brake bias. That's the whole reason I ripped it out and replaced it with a manual proportioning valve so the rear brakes actually do some work.
