Worst, most unreliable vehicles I have owned have been:
    83 Ford F-150 4x4
98 Mercury Mountineer All wheel drive
    06 Mustang GT
After the 83, I swore I'd never own another Ford. Then my wife HAD to have the Mountineer instead of a Durango. Then I must have been on drugs when I bought the Mustang...never again will I own a Ford.

POS Dodge Neon. Most reliable was my Chevy Trailblazer. 180k with no issues and now my brother drives it. Biggest issue to date was the 4wd actuator. $200 dollar part and whatever my labor is worth.. probably not much lol.

I'd rather walk than own one of these.

I'd rather push a Toyota than own one of these.

Yes. Sounds silly at first, yet it is still a muscle car. In fact, most years the challenger has the worst HP/weight ratio of all muscle cars including neon, mustang, camaro, etc.

So yes, if you consider the challenger a muscle car then I'm afraid that you have to give the neon the title of muscle car as well.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
1983 Chevy S-10 4x4. What a poo box. Ball joints, etc., etc. My grandfather gave me the truck and $5,000 to pay for college. The 5k was gone in the first semester in just repair bills on the truck.

As for Jeeps, I've had 3 Cherokees and currently have a 2009 Liberty. Liberty has been great (knock on wood) and the Cherokees were awesome because they were/are so damn easy to work on and parts are so cheap. I learned a lot about working on vehicles owning those Cherokees. If I had a teenage kid right now, I'd buy 'em a Cherokee and a set of wrenches. No doubt.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Ford f-series: had a f-150 blow a head gasket at the lumber store, f-250 (gas) had more problems then I can count, also a buddies f-250 (diesel) was in the shop for 2 months because the oil sensors kept going out, and finally f-350 (diesel) lost all power one day from the water separater even though it had been drained. So f-series is is just crap.

The true "Muscle car" died in 1971 as far as I am concerned. Starting in 1972 all vehicles were de-tuned never to return to their former glory. Thank very much Federal Government for looking out for us all. SMH

Not as many Ford's in this thread as I would have imagined. Though there are plenty of Dodges to make up for it. Lol worst car I've ever experienced was my sisters 2008 Ford Focus... Tons of issues with its "Sync" technology, trans problems since the day she drove it off the lot, leaking valve covers, and I think it has a broken motor mount because the thing vibrates so bad when you drive it, it feels like it's gonna just fall apart.

Weird, I had a 2009 Focus SES coupe. I never had a problem with it and my best friends little brother now owns the car and it's still problem free after 250K kms...

this was the last domestic vehicle I ever owned. Bought it from a former friend. Alternator blew up 2 weeks after I bought it. Ecu died. Ignition stuck and locked in the on position. inner door handle constantly broke on the drivers side. it ate wiper motors. The final straw was after doing a complete driveline service and clutch replace to the tune of 2k. On my way home from work the truck developed an internal coolant leak caused by the intake manifold gasket failing. i noticed my temp gauge jumping around in traffic. Pulled over thinking my 3rd water pump was dead couldn't find anything wrong. Continued on home by half way through my 2 hr journey the engine started knocking. I knew I was fucked. Threw some 1540 in at the gas station made it just around the corner when a rod failed. I parted the truck out and bought a Honda the next day

I'll add another Dodge/Plymouth to the mix...1986 Plymouth Reliant, the worst named car ever. Of the famed K-car series. Bought new, got rid of it before a year was up. Bought it for my wife. Turns out she wasn't impressed.

Gotten a lot of laughs out of this thread. Life is too serious anymore...especially liked the tales of door handles falling off the VW Passat - been there, done that. Plastic door handles, genious.

My worst car for reliability was my jeep cherokee..... 1985 pioneer two door. It was an AMC 2.5 engine and a 4 speed manual. It ran on 3 cylinders, had no working syncros, the 4wd broke after the first time I used 4lo, and ther floor rotted out just in time for winter of my freshman year of college. It was my almost dream car ( wanted a grand wagoneer in highschool for some reason) and I was so disapointed with it. That spring I installed a cd player, fixed the floor and repainted the underside and hatch door. Was rewarded with it developing a sooty backfire to anounce itself everywhere. Then a short of some kind made the rear speakers only work with the brake lights on, and the drivers window got stuck closed (no ac) then decided to open with a shattering crash when I closed the door at a concert..... was a great show from a band I liked (still do) and some one out there has my cd of that band in the player they stole from my jeep at the show. In the end I sold the tires off for more than the rest the jeep was worth as junk... they were not even LT or off road tires.....

I just have a hard time thinking of any front wheel drive I4 vehicle as a muscle car. "Sleeper" maybe, but not a muscle car in my mind.

    Vehicle:
    98 tacoma 4x4 extended cab
5100's all around, 2.75 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed 285-75-16 goodyear AT
Of the vehicles I have owned the 1998 Toyota Tacoma I currently own has been the most unreliable, in the few tears I have owned it have had to have it towed twice which is more than twice the average of all the other vehicles I have owned and I owned them all for a much longer time.
