I had the ( Fox Ultimate kit ) installed before I drove the truck off the lot. This is my first lift on a truck and I plan on offroading over grass dividers in mall parking lots. Just joking. Looking over other post I am seeing people talk about limit straps and bump stops. How do I size what I need? And what other suspension mods am I missing......

What are you doing with it? Limit straps shouldnt be needed on a standard lift

I do plan to go offroading. Not sure I'll ever use anything to its full potential but I definitely want to have safety precautions in place if I would fully extend the shocks or bottom them out. Not against a little overkill if it prolongs the life and minimizes costly repairs

Dude you don't need bump stops or limit straps unless you plan on pushing your suspension hard. Limit straps are for long travel and bump stops are good to upgrade when your oer ones go bad.

You would have to beat hard on them in order to do damage. Just know your limits and you'll be fine.

Nice lift and truck man. I plan on buying the same suspension kit (Fox Ultimate Suspension) from Toytec. Did you put drive shaft spacers on your truck?

I would think about 90% of all mid travel trucks on TW do not have limit straps and go off roading and do not damage their coilovers. Even the coilover manufacturers say they are not needed.

You are right about not needing limt straps. You only need them if you go long travel.

No driveshaft spacers or hub spacers were used i did have to to some trimming to fit nitto trail grapplers 285/75/16 Think this weekend im going to do second battery mod,400 watt anytime, add 120v outlet in cab ,12v plugs behind back seat and two in truck bed. I've done fog mod,and 12v Constant on mod last weekend and that went quick. Can anyone think of other useful mod I can do when I have everything torn apart...still thinking about the yellow wire one
    Future mods
    50in curved LED light bar
    Demello Baja front bumper
Cbi high clearance rear bumper w tire rack
Roof rack for leer topper and basket for cab
    Sliders and full plates
And after im done bolting thinks on to this 12,000 lb pig I'll probably need to supercharge it

You picked one hell of a first lift. Usually people do it wrong the first time with a spacer lift, then take it apart and do it right like you did.

Very nice truck. I see you did the hood scoop swap mod as well. Are you going to leave the grill chrome or paint/swap it for a painted one?
