Ok, so everybody gets all hyped up about deer season and all that, but some of us are not so lucky to see a deer every day, and so resort to shooting squirrels. i propose a new way to score these shots and compete with the other people, because everyone likes a good competition. Here is how it works (me and my buddies came up with this since our mini freezers wont hold a deer so we have to stay with small creatures).

    Shooting a gray squirrel-1pt
    Fox squirrel-5pt
    Head shot-1pt
    shot with shotgun-1pt
    shot with rifle-2pt
    shot with bow-3pt
    grabbed with hands-50pt
shot with nut in mouth (must still be there during recovery)=3pt
    every 10 yards distance-1pt

So today, i shot a squirrel from 30 yards with my bow. It was a head shot and it died with a nut in its cheek. therefore my score for today is 1+1+3+3+3= 11pt squirrel.

    anyone else care to participate?

:popcorn:I will keep you posted, I think it's a great game, how about keeping a running total for the season, and the person with the most points at the end of the season wins.....bragging rights!:D

My neighborhood is infested with squirrels. I use a Crosman 1400 .22 cal pellet gun with a scope. I made a little death trap for the tree ratz. its like a bullet trap but filled up with bird food. My dog tells me when they're in the trap and I go up in th attic and shoot them from the window. Last year I averaged 5-6 a day for a week. Its safe because the pellets stay in the box and don't ricochet
