Boot slide mod is more than just sliding the boot down clamping it. Some people have had luck just doing that, but the boot slide mod has an internal stopper. If you decide to reboot your axle, youll be able to get a better understanding of the boot slide mod.

Replaced my 4 banger boots 2 yrs ago n they still in good shape got my from Oreiley too. U'll need to save your old one if you are going to use the universal boot from Oreiley cut the end of the old boot and slide under the new boot to be able to put a band over it. Their universal are thiner and more flexibility can't find a good spot to tie the band so you have to cut out your old one and slide under it

I asked EBC about the Extra Duty brake pads we were talking about the other day. This is what they said about them...

    Hi Christopher,
To my knowledge the production department hasn't released any side by side testings showing a comparison. But I do have the specific test charts of each friction material showing it's friction coefficient at different temperatures. Of which the ExtraDuty pads have the highest friction level, and heat resistance. Let me know what I can further help with.
    Kind Regards

Anyone know how much coolant I'll lose when I go to pull my thermostat? I have a gallon of it on hand in case, just wondering if that's enough. Also, any tips on accessing it? I can't get my hands to it Easily. Would taking taking my skid plate off help?

Tested out my droop, are these 5100s limiting my travel or is that all the springs have?

Looks like the springs. Pop those boots off the shocks and see if they have any travel left. But if you drive the other side way up that side will drop more.

Did you disassemble the hubs at all? Idk why they wouldn't freewheel now if they did before

I thought about doing that, this tire was off the ground and I could rock the truck. One thing I have noticed is that when on the frame lift, one side of the axle hangs lower. Maybe I need extended travel shocks.

Mostly likely the 5100s actually. They are only 8.5" long. Any longer though and you loose up travel.

Gears shouldnt have any affect on the hubs. Weird

That should be enough, I lost maybe half that on my 2.7, dont know for sure on the V6 but a gallon will at least get you to somewhere if you need more.
If your coolant isnt old you can catch it in a clean bucket and reuse it too.
