My buddy had a 67 Camaro SS in high school (1987). Ran only a few times when I knew him and always had issues, but it was a highly modified 427, 4 barrel, etc. Truth be told, I'm glad we rode around in his Sunbird instead or we'd be dead.

Mitsubishi 4wd PU......ate two trannies (5-speed) in under 75k and was making noise once again.....lots of issues and the Dealer Sucked! Dumped the truck and bought an 87 Long Bed Toy that went about 250k with next to no issues and was running strong when I sold it in 02. Miss the "wind wings", think that was the last year that Toyota had them in their trucks.....

Haha me too! Had one for 4 years and it spent more time being repaired than it did working. Granted it was a winter-only rig and I beat the piss out of it but I beat the piss out of everything.

All my 1960s hot rods and muscle cars were unreliable as hell. Even stock they were all but guaranteed to be used up and dead by 100,000 miles. We have come a reeeeealy long way in a few decades as far as handling, horsepower, fuel economy, and reliability goes.

Oh god.... I forgot about my ranger. It was a hand me down 90 with the 2.9 in it. Why they hell did ford use 4 different size bolts on the water pump.... it was a stupid mix of standard and metric, and I replaced 3 water pumps in 3 years. Hated that car.

2011 Ford Taurus SHO. So bad it got me banned from the dealership that sold that piece of junk to me.
Blend door actuators 4 were replaced
Chrome on tail lights kept pealing off
Car would just shut down all electrical while driving
Spent the first 2 weeks of ownership getting missing fasteners and areo parts replaced. All 4 tires would not balance. Had a vibration that the dealer could not find until I finally convinced the to replace all 4 tires with something other than the factory Goodyear's.
Paint pealed off the wheels after about 2 years, refused to repair or warranty as the dealer had repainted them without our permission after they damaged them during the tire replacement.
Radio would just stop working, the restart at a random time later. (Could always get it to work by pulling into the dealership).
Various check engine lights for random sensors and actuators. Sunroof also leaked.

Yeah, most cars maintenance starts, "Step 1. Open hood." But for Audi's "Step 1. Dismantel entire front end of vehicle." They literally call it the "service position" lol

2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Refuse to buy another Chrysler product because of it (unless it's a mid-40's Power Wagon). I had it completely paid off, but the monthly repair bills were as much as my current car payment on my 2014 Tacoma.

I hate to say this but any American brand vehicle. Made in the USA used to mean something... now it means the lowest bidder gets the contract. The slogan should be amended to "Made in 'Murica" which is why I only buy Japanese vehicles. Toyota FTW!

Except your Tacoma was made in America... Or Mexico...

Where things are built doesn't really matter. It's how well that plant is run. The Taco plant in Mexico has won several quality awards. However the VW plants down there are terrible. It's not the people, it's the management style.

    • Squealing rear brakes driving off the dealer's lot - remedied by TSB
    • Parking brake froze the first winter
    • Clock spring broke, caused steering wheel to be crooked - remedied by TSB
    • Blower resistor failed after 3 years
    • Glove box limit strap broke after 4 years
    • Windshield washer pump failed after 5 years
    • Rear view mirror fell off the windshield after 5 years

My brother bought a brand new '14 Focus ST and the very next day it overheated on him and coolant poured out as fast as you could put it in. The dealer paid for a tow truck and took it back. Turns out the problem was from a hose clamp that was probably loose since it left the plant. He still has it and I now call it the SuperTurd:laugh:.

The biggest POS is the Dodge or Chrysler Grand Caravan especially the older ones.
