Too poor to list anything interesting.
After taking a few month hiatus from seriously working out, it feels good to do 3 workouts a week for three weeks.

I just with it would stop raining on the weekend so I could incorporate some cycling back into it.

After reading the link I posted above, I've decided that I'm going to stick with my cut through Sept to get to as low a bodyfat as possible, before bulking. It really won me over when talking about how, between around 12-16% bodyfat, you look about the same, so most people just stop and start bulking again...but if you actually stick with it and get into the single-digits, you'll look better at a lower body weight, so I'm going to really try to get down into single-digits and just bulk on around a 300-400 calorie surplus.

I also liked what he said about dirty bulking and getting really big, but also throwing on more fat: basically, you look great clothed, but you have no definition when in a tank top or going shirtless....I'd much rather be at a striated 175 than a soft 200. Hell, when I was 209, I was the strongest I'd ever been, but I was soft. This may sound vein, but I'd rather look good than be able to lift a bunch....although, I like the best of both worlds :D

According to the internet, @ 185 and ~12-13% bodyfat, my lean body mass (total body mass, minus fat) is around 165...my goal is to get to 175 and, once there, begin bulking with the goal of only gaining 2-3 lbs a month, to try and stay around 9-10% bodyfat, even when bulking.

Mine died mid set today. They gave me fair warning though. 'Battery very low, please charge now'. I thought I could make it but they failed me.

    exactly...

Well, it take a lot more calories to power a man's body than a woman's because they have more muscle mass and (hopefully) weigh more. You're a Toyota Tundra: it takes a lot more gas to get you through the day. Your girl is a Prius: she can go a lot further on a lot less. So, if you both eat the same amount of food, she's gonna have a lot more left over at the end of thew day, which gets stored as fat. It's simple calories in vs. calories out: if you gain weight, you need to either eat less or burn more calories or both. If you're losing weight, you need to eat more or burn less calories or both.

Upper-B today (last upper-body workout before the beach this weekend :D) Gonna go hit legs in the AM

    decline bench press: 135x15, 225x10, 185x15, 135x20
    flat bench: 135x10, 225x8, 185x 10, 135x10
    t-bar v-grip rows: 90x15, 90x12, 90x11
    reverse-grip lat-pulldown: 205x10, 190x12
    bent-over hammer dumbbell lat raises: 3 sets of 15, 13, 12 w/ 20 lb dumbbells
    machine shrugs: 2 sets of 15, 13 @ 405
    strict barbell curls: 3 sets of 16, 14, 11 @ 60 lbs
    skull-crushers to close-grip bench: 3 sets of 15, 13, 10 @ 85 lbs
    forearm crap

Gonna do some chest manscaping tonight to see if there are any abs hiding under my chest hair

I'm with you on that beach weekend coming up tomorrow. Got arms and shoulders tomorrow first though. (Did legs yesterday)

What's a machine shrug? My gym only goes up to 75lb DB and they just aren't enough for shrugs, I end up doing sets of 20 or 30 and I just don't feel the same as when I do heavy. I have done pretty heavy on barbell though, most I've done is 505 but the bar wasn't really wanting to hold that weight for me to get a good amount of reps.
