Ive actually been eyeing watches for myself the last couple months.. I think Im settled on a Citizen... possibly 2 Citizens. both Eco-Drives. one for work (canvas/NATO band) and a Titanium for going out. The Fiance wants to get the latter for me for our anniversary I think.

    Who cares?

Any person who would come up to me and say "that's a fake watch" is a pompous asshole and I wouldn't acknowledge his existence.

I had a poor experience with my eco drive, the solar panel died after 4 years. The fuck is the point of a solar panel if I have to change it more often than a battery? From what I hear though, that's a pretty uncommon experience. They're definitely nice watches.

NATO band is awesome for desk work. Not sure I could go back to wearing a metal band as a "daily driver".

interesting. good to know. if its an uncommon thing, I think I would still take my chances.

and agreed.. the NATO band is perfect for me at work and to daily wear. the titanium Eco Drive that I tried on is so sexy though. will be my nice going out watch. i love the weight.. or lack there of.

as someone who has spent way more on watches than I care to say, I would just say buy what you like or what is most practical for you. I have extremely expensive watches that I just dont wear anymore, they basically just "sit and spin" literally. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have still bought the Panerai(always been really fond of those) but I could easy do without the others.

Well its illegal, and while I don't care its pretty much like trying to sell a bag of weed on the internet and posting pictures. You dont hear about it here very much but my sister lives in NYC and if caught in possesion of a counterfeit product you can be arrested, you don't even have to be selling it

Legality - if I were to to be the one that sells them, or if my contact was selling them - yes legality would be an issue - but the person branding these and selling them, lives in China, so blame US Customs for not regulating. I am just offering my contact whom can get these. I never said I sold these - I just said I have one. If you look close they may look the same but do have differences, as for the trademark

You can be arrested because a cop is having a bad day. I call 100% bullshit on this being an actual law, though.

    Read the third paragraph.

    http://www.customsandinternationalt...unterfeit-merchandise-into-the-united-states/

"What the readers of this blog, and even many U.S. Customs officers, do not know is that it is perfectly legal for a person who visits China, or any other foreign country, to buy counterfeit merchandise there, including one counterfeit Gucci bag and one counterfeit Montblanc pen, declare it on the U.S. Customs declaration form, pass through U.S. Customs, and enjoy using the counterfeit items in the United States. Of course, you generally get what you pay for, so the $2,000 Gucci bag that you purchased in China for $80 may not be such a bargain, but it can be a lot of fun to shop at a Chinese flea market, and compare the purchased products to the genuine items at your local U.S.-based retail store, or so I am told. "
