I might be a noob in this forum and I only ever have 1 truck, but my tank pretty much outranks the fuck out of the trucks owned by these so-called seasoned veterans here, in terms of sheer horsepower, number of VVT-i, center-differential, fuel consumption, unicorn-factor, badassness, and the quantity of wiper blades.

Having said that, I'll be awaiting the release of the 3rd gen, and maybe trade my tank in for the 3rd gen after test driving, when the time is right and when my finances are worked out to do so. Ideally I'd prefer to keep the tank for zombie-apocalypse, and use the 3rd gen as the daily.

But anyway, don't let the elderly folks here scare you. Most don't even know what they're talking about, but that's because their own heads were shoved so far up their own assholes with the help of their own neck muscles that they can't hear or see logic and humility.

That last remark only applies to some, particularly those who felt the need to belittle other people's choice of wanting to purchase the new gen Tacoma. So don't feel offend if you are not part of that demographic ;)

Just my failed attempt to sound like an unapologetic tool like a certain member who shall remain nameless, but you probably knew who that is already. I failed because it's difficult to sound like an asshole when I'm not one in real life. I'm certainly a dick, but it takes someone with no dick to be a complete asshole, and that would be an impossible task for me to achieve :D

I think he meant wut? because of the wording of your post. Didn't make much sense, but I do understand the point you were trying to make.

I lurked here for a long time, never bothered to register since I don't own a Tacoma, but I do own its more badass cousin though :D

I'm Rick Deckard's worst nightmare. I've… seen things you people wouldn't believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like tears… in… rain. Time… to die… :bananadead:

Never seen that forum before. I think the Prius is the antithesis to a badass vehicle :broccoli:

Can't argue with that. Money saved from the pump means more money for hookers and blow :D

The engine in the Prius is actually Atkinson-cycle only, the power delivery from the ICE alone is rather lethargic, which is compensated by the hybrid system's electric motor. The 3rd gen Tacoma engine is able to run either Otto-cycle or simulated Atkinson-cycle by the VVT-iW system, depending on load, throttle angle and maybe a few other factors. I suspect that such a system will be widely used across all if not most non-hybrid Toyota vehicles in the coming years.

Guess I missed the 2nd unicorn, I'll have to rewatch it again when I have the time. Rumor has it that Ridley Scott is working on a sequel, probably not with the same characters. It wouldn't bother me if that's the case, because I'd pay money to see another movie made using the Blade Runner universe. My only concern would be who he'd hire to compose the score/soundtrack if Vangelis is not getting involved, since IMO the score he composed really made the movie what it is.

Anyway, sorry for the sidetrack

Harrison Ford already signed up for the sequel

Would be interesting to see what timeline the sequel might take place.

No way man, the soundtrack still sounds great to this day. Good speakers/headphones also make a huge difference.

But Vangelis is very old, he's most likely retired (not like the way Replicans retire) and changing diapers of his grand-grandkids, or maybe even his own

It's easy to have Rachael die off in the interim time period, and Deckard reflective of the time that they did have together.
