    I've never changed the oil on my 4Runner or FJ, but I appreciate the ease of access they offer with the 4.0. It's cheaper and easier for Toyota to do it. $19.95 at WFM

    They have different prices for different vehicles, but my truck was a little over $700. I was able to get Toyota to reimburse me because of the LSC, though.

    The GM 2.5 liter that came in a lot of the 80's vehicles was upside down..fought that on both my '86 Olds Calais Supreme and my dad's '87 Pontiac Grand Am.

    Yeah, the 225 in my plow truck has the filter mounted with the opening facing down. I'd be annoyed if it wasn't already covered with 31 years' of leaked oil, lol.

    Those notches are flimsy plastic and deep pocketed. There are notches in the bed that are specifically for a 2x6 or 2x8 (can't remember which) so you can haul sheet goods above the wheel well. The pockets above the wheel well are just storage pockets.

    With kid number 2 on the way, I started looking into a cap for the Ferd. Any of you guys ever heard of Ranch brand caps? Yankee Custom Trucks sells them and they are significantly cheaper than a comparable equipped Leer or ARE. They seem to carry a good warranty with them for the structure and paint as well. I'm looking at a Ranch Sierra topper.

    What's everyone up to for the long weekend? I'm spending mine in N. Chatham visiting my parents. Momma fell 2 weeks ago and is in the nursing home recovering. Trip up yesterday was easy - just a LOT of speed traps north of Hartford to the Pike and again on 495 before it drops to 2 lanes. It nice being able to turn left on the cape...
