    Oh man I hope not.

When I decided to sell my 2009 Taco for another one, the main reason I looked for an older one was the taillights. The LED units don't produce a lot of heat, and on days when snow got drawn up into the truck's draft, it would stick to them and the running lights wouldn't be visible anymore. Add the silver paint and you can see how many many times I was almost rear ended on the state highway I took to work because they couldn't see the truck until I lit the third brake light.

The incandescent bulbs in my 2007 tend to keep at least a 2" round area behind them melted so others can see my truck before it's too late.

I always laugh at the "glad I have a '14 or '15" comments. Everyone is always against change. Once they see the 16's modded they will change their minds.

I shouldnt have to mod a new truck to get it to look good such as the grill on the 2016. Even untouched the 05-15 front end is a pretty sight.

I'd characterize the looks of the '16, vs the '15, as evolutionary rather than revolutionary. I like them both.

It looks like an over-designed version of the 2nd gen.

One has to ask.....if it weren't for the new 3.5 V6, the 2016 model probably would have been considered another refresh of the 2GEN.

I thought about posting a new thread for this but I'll just shove this photo dump here. Collected (stolen) from various places around the internet, including this site. A few are renders/photoshops. Many probably have already been seen in this thread.

There's apparently a 120 picture max per post so this will be split into two parts.

With a redesigned interior, wonder why they didn't also do the steering wheel. Not that there's anything wrong with the current, but if you're gonna redesign.

Speaking of redesigned interior. All I really wanted was a power sliding rear window on the double cabs like the Tundra and 4Runner. Even with that ugly front end I would have jumped to a 3rd gen if that was an option. Guess I am sticking with my 2011 for now.
