Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

    There is a good bit of play at the transmission output which is basically all the way out. Drive shaft spacer should fix that and probably correct some or most of the vibs. I also need an alignment but I don't that that has to do with it. So I'll start with carrier bearing drop and drive shaft spacer and go from there.

    My only concern is I get the DS spacer and end up needing shims and the shims push the driveshaft too far in and I had to get a smaller spacer.

    Shims won't push it in, if anything you'll gain about another 3/8" of lift.

    Wouldn't I gain ~3/8 lift and push the driveshaft I'm ~1/8

    If that were the case when you lifted the rear 4" it would've pushed the DS in instead of pulling it out.

    With 4" of lift it probably pulled the DS out close to an inch.

    Just measured again after driving it and the rear settled down to about 3 inches of lift but yes the drive shaft is out 3/4 to an inch

    Yeah seems like for every inch of lift it pulls out the DS about a 1/4".
    I have 5.5" of lift & went with a 1.5" spacer & it's just about flush at the tranny, maybe set in a hair.

    Sorry Alfuh but have to disagree about a db not riding as good as spindles. I put one on my truck because I didn't want my front wheels sticking out 3/4" on each side and then having to run spacers in the back to even things out. I also got a killer deal on mine so wasn't much more than the spindles.

    Hi all. Have a few questions about the lift I'm about to do I'm currently running Icon 2.5 Extended CO's & TC UCA's up front followed by Icon's 3 progressive leaf pack & Icon 2.0 w/resis. I plan to get an overall height of 4" of lift. I already bought the spindles & Allpro Expos for the rear. My question is can I use my existing Icon shocks or do I have to get a different one? Also after everything is installed I know the spindles will push my wheels out a bit so will 1.25 wheel spacers in the rear help even them out with the front?

    You will need new rear shocks, or limit straps. The expo kit pulls about 11" of travel while the stock pack is like 8 I believe

    To answer your spacer question you will most likely need spacers in the front also. So anything in the rear would help. I have 1.25" spacers up front with my spindles which makes the front 2" wider then stock per side and the rear looks we skipped leg day for a month. So 1.25" in the rear would look so much better and only have a difference of .75" wider in the front. Just don't go wider in the rear.

    Does anyone know the backspacing on the TRD Beadlocks and if they'll work with the spindles?? Need help asap!! Nobody I've talked to seems to support wheel spacers and I'm really not interested in dropping money on new wheels!

    They are 4.5 BS and I ran Spidertrax Spacers wth my Set for the better part of 2 years and zero issues. Just remember that will pop your tires out about 2" over stock
