Only been through there once, it seemed nice though. Just never seem to have time to go back...
Have you ever been up Copper Creek? Just off of the east end of the Skalkaho. Lots of camping up there

ok today I found out that the 96 I just bought has broken leaf springs. Might anyone have a set of 2" lift springs that they have out grown?

    No.

Also remember that 95-97 Tacoma's have different sized leafs then 98-04s. In facter they are the same size as your pretaco truck. Keeo that in mind when shopping for new Ines. Your choices are very limited.

There's a guy in Victor that hoards Toyota parts. He always has a bunch of stuff on Craigslist. Might be worth seeing what he's got on hand.

I believe I have narrowed the springs to some OME CS019R springs and busings and u-bolts. Are these good???? Thank you for your help Monte for letting me know.

I called that guy and he does not have any. I also asked him about some stock steel wheels and he quoted me $150. Is that a fair price?

Found out the OMECS019R is a light duty replacement spring. So I ordered the OMECS020R instead. Hope they will be here before my trip now

Those should work. They are the same springs for the pretaco.

Well heck. I just talked to the company I ordered them from and they say they are not for my truck as OME does not specifically say so. So I cancelled the order. Damn

They work. Do some searching, its a common mod. Call Wheelers if you want, thats the OME springs they sell for early tacomas.

Or get their springs they make for our trucks. Its what i have..or started with. Still have really for the most part. the 5 packs with the AAL is a nice pack. Or their 8 pack is good too.

only other option i know of is made by Skyjacker. And its a pretty damn stiff pack for the most part. only 3 leafs but super thick. They do work well though with lots of weight and do flex nice.

Yea I did do a LOT of searching last night before I pulled the trigger. But the guy this morning was pretty convinced that they were the wrong ones and may not return if so. So I cancelled them. I went with a set that was built here in Missoula at TNT. They say I will get a couple inches of lift but greater load capacity then stock. I seen them earlier this afternoon. I believe the are a 4 pack. I figured at least if these do fit and I don't like the feel I can move them to the 95 and pick up the 20's from OME for the 96. My plans now are to build the 96 pretty much only for Overlanding/playing and not as a DD. I hope to be able to have the truck built up enough to take a 2 or 3 month trip next summer up to Alaska and do some gold panning and exploring. Monte I really appreciate you helping so much with my stupid questions and all the requests. Some day I will be able to make it right. Maybe a steak dinner on a trip or something some time. Also THANK YOU to the others that have chimed in and helped. I do appreciate it all. I don't have a lot and being sure and doing things right the first time is the only way I can afford this truck for playing.

Nope, can't go back. These threads have some comments for how to navigate the new site layout.

If you click on your name in the upper right of the screen one of the options there is "threads started by you" and you should be able to find your build from there.
