Haha 15 years here and still no head unit. Almost there, thinking about mounting a cb in the ash tray.

For the guys that have done it, do you like the uniden pro 520xl? Was thinking about using that unit.

For the size and money it's ok. It doesn't suck. If it had dedicated weather station channels I would be happier with it, but it's not a necessity.
It is clear sounding with a good antenna tune and is loud enough to hear it over trivial passenger chatter. It just happens to fit in the ashtray cubby like it was made for it.

Will putting on a bigger gear ratio help my truck out on the highway with speed. I drove back home last night, and was bearly going the speed limit. I was in between 3,4 & 5th gear rolling up passes. I figured its due to the bumper, with the added weight..

@presto auto up would be awesome. My Dads 4runner has it on all 4 passenger windows and the rear window.

If there aren't any other wires it would probably be pretty easy to just add switches with those functions

I bought the kit from marlin crawler because I'm lazy but damn it was easy to install took me a couple tries to get the breather in the right spot so I could still close my gas cap but other than that piece of cake.

Okay... so I'll ask my diff breather mod question here since it didn't get answered in the actual thread.

If extending it to behind the gas door or tail light... should I use a breather cap/check valve/one-way valve at the end or go with a free breathing solution such as the fuel filter pictured in the OP?

I've seen arguments both for and against both products.

    Thanks in advance.

I just reused the original breather cap that I took out of the axle. Took some work to get it to fit but seems to do its job well.

I just used the parts found in this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-differential-breather-mod-photos.111954/ I relocated it behind my driver tail light. Used zip ties to hold it up there.
