Some pics from camping trip last weekend. Started out east of Fallon NV. Then worked east more, almost got stuck going over a range of mountains because it decided to just dump rain on us, yea mud and rain in Nevada. Wasnt expecting that much rain this time of year. So we headed south to escape the rain. Stopped at Gabbs for gas then down to Tonapah. The road to Tonapah from Gabbs was a huge wide and smooth dirt road. Its pretty fun bombing a dirt road at 80 mph for 60 miles. The next day we headed east from Tonapah and ended up camping a few ranges east of Mina. stumbled upon a cool trail that I wish we could've done. The other two rigs i was with were not up to doing much since they are just bone stock. Was a super fun trip. Only broke one thing, my corner light lens and well it only popped off because I was going a bit fast through a wash.

I think this is one of those few times i am happy that china made something crappy. Both lenses popped off of my ebay corner lights, now i get to mod them. Any good ideas?? I was thinking led strip for the signal. Also want to do a bulb to hook to the parking lights too.

Will I need crush washers when I install my new front/rear stainless braided lines from LCE?

I don't think I received any with the lines. The LCE conversion kit doesn't use the banjo type connections for the front. I'm not sure what type are in the back.

Did they come with black interior? Trying to find some for the 98-2000 side markers.

When the truck was getting aligned, I was able to get a good look at everything. Time for some more work.

-Inner CV boot is torn. Going to order some from SDHQ. This time I am going to get the best ring pliers I can buy, broke two last time.... final took them to Phx axle (on the motorcycle) and had them swap the boots for me.

-Lower shock bushings are shot. Those Bilsteins were a bitch to get in, not looking forward to replacing those. Anyone have an opinion on the best place to get new bushings?

    - Rack & Pinion is leaking from the passenger side as well as the input shaft. Need to replace or get it rebuilt. Thats not going to be cheap.

X2 on the rack doctor rack. I'm happy with mine so far and it was by far the cheapest option

Yep, TW convinced me, seems like a few satisfied customers on here.. It was between rack dr (284$ after core is returned) or a new OEM from camel back parts (550$ish)

If this one goes out I'm not sure wether ill get another from rack dr or go oem, depends on finances at that time. That said this one came looking new and working perfectly so far. Just cant beat new oem parts.

If it does go out again I'm letting a mechanic install it. It wasn't the worst project but it took waaaayyyyyy longer than it should have and was a headache the whole time.

I may have a few questions as I'm digging into it this week/next week..
I figure by the time I end up doing a SAS the rack from rack dr will probably still be fine.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Hope the rack doctor makes good reproductions because I killed my rack over the weekend. It is making it super hard to steer when moving slow and it makes the power steering pump squeel. Hasn't completely given out yet so I'm gonna run it until I get a couple paychecks built up.

You sure it's the rack and not the pump itself?
