Sure if its still in good shape after being used to make the mold. It will painted with gloss black automotive paint though.

I handed the proto over to have it sprayed in automotive paint. My buddy said he'd have to make some changes, add some material to make it easier to attach the bar to the grill before painting.

He has kids so he asked for patience on my end. I totally understand plus I have a business trip on across the pond till the end of July. Its hot as balls here in AZ. No excuses but just to shed some light on the situation.

Once the mold is made, we'll pop out a few for the peeps interested. Thanks guys!

Yes, I spoke with Bryan a week ago and he had to rebuild the entire bar that goes across the grille. Some of the materials I used did not play well together. Plus he did not like the line on the lower portion. I didnt think it was a big deal since its on the bottom side of the bar but I understand his apprehension to create a mold for something thats not the best of his ability. He said its almost ready to give to the painter to spray with automotive paint, then the mold making time. Hopefully the mold will be quick and we'll have some prototypes. I'm anxious myself.

Hopefully this goes well. If it does, I'm gonna do my best to persuade him to make some other CF parts. I'm thinking the foglight bezels for some LED spots and that lower center black plastic piece with a cutout for a small LED bar will be sweet.

As nice as this is, I am seeing it as an alternative Satoshi source. Would this mold be be the entire insert?

I really wanted the entire insert to be CF but with all the complicated geometry, the time and materials was gonna be outrageous.

So this is just for the center piece? Before using this, we'd have to essentially perform a Satoshi mod to achieve the look in the pic?

The perimeter of the black grille insert will have to be retained for stock mounting points. Thats the way I intend to mount mine.

Although.......... the CF will have a big flared lip (to ensure that is the only visible portion from the outside), so if you do not want to cut out the black insert, then a creative individual can come up with alternate ways to attach the CF to the color matched or chrome grille surround that is the most visible. Hmmmm.......just thought of that. I might have to try that with mine :)
