I have a 2006 DB Cab with the TRD Sport Package. After hand washing it a week or so ago I noticed that on the side of the spokes the finish is comming off, likes its bubbling up. Has anyone else had this problem? I have about 57k on my truck. You think Toyota will honor the warranty?

I have heard of that happening in the past. I think they warrantied it up to 3 years or 36k miles.

Well after my experience with the rear suspension TSB I wondering if it is even worth my time bc I am sure what they are going to say already. Even though you get a 60 month unlimited mile rust warranty. I hate the going to the dealership.

yeah i doubt they will do anything. I'm not sure if it is even worth my time to go to the dealership, bc i just read the warranty fine print and it says 60 month unlimited mile sheet metal warranty.

The finish or clear coming off does not affect the structural integrity of the wheel.

I had the problem bad on the 17" wheels of my 07 Sport. For a while Toyota was replacing the wheels under warranty. I was told last month that Toyota is refinishing the wheels.

I got all four refinished. 100% of the cost was covered by Toyota. The refinished wheels look great.

    Good Luck!

My 06 TRD Sport with 73K has the same problem. My dealer was no help. Although I would be interested in hearing what saf023 has to say.
