I had both Rick from Superior Floors AZ (found on CL) and my buddy's contractor show up this morning to give me a quote. Both quotes are for about 630 Sqft including the stem walls. Both for a single color with no color flakes but has silica sand mixed in for traction.

Rick from Superior floors shot me a quote of $1.25@sqft which comes about to about $788. My buddy's contractor quoted me $800 total so it breaks down to about $1.27@sqft. So pricing was just about the same, within 5%.

I chose to go with Rick this afternoon simply because of his process in which the epoxy was going to be done. He's going to diamond grind the floor to remove stains, acid etch the floor, seal the joint cracks and then lay the epoxy coat down and then lay down a clear coat the next day after any touch ups that need to be done.

I'm hoping I chose the right guys to do this, their process and their product they are using seems to be spot on with the guys that charge more.... Crossing my fingers. I'm hoping that I'm able to break away from work next week to go watch them and take some before and after shots.

Will update this thread when it's all done...

Moose, he told me to tell you if you want to do the same thing, it'll be $1.25@sqft.

I just spoke to Rick and told him that a few folks may be calling him for a quote, he said he'll work out a deal for anyone that is referred over. I'll get more details on Monday when he starts.

Beautiful! Appreciate it man! I'll hopefully try and give him a call in the near future. I'm guessing mine would be between 500-600 all said and done.

I'm a little late to this, but check out Ric at Universal Linings. He's super awesome and does anything from truck bed liners to garage floors.
He works with you on price too.

    *Update Garage Floor Completed!

Sorry for the delay all, it's been a week since the garage floor was completed and it's been busy with electricians and plumbers coming through here . We got moved in and now the unpacking has started. Below are some pics of the garage floor before and after.

They started with diamond grinding the floor to open the concrete up and to remove any stains. Afterwards they flushed it with water and used a yard blower to dry it off.

Here they are laying down the 1st coat, the primer.

About 3-4 hours later they came back and laid down the last coat, 24 hours later we have a shiny floor!

As a side note, when Rick was prepping the floor he did notice that part of my garage floor seemed a but rougher than the rest, like something had eatten away at it in the past or maybe didn't cure properly, so in those areas the epoxy took with no problem but was a little "Wavy" where it was rough. Additionally, once the floor completely dried and I did an inspection, I noticed a few "pock" marks, looks like the concrete farted and caused an air bubble.

I called Rick that afternoon and the next morning he was over at the house to check it out. Without hesitation he got right down to fixing the marks, he basically sanded it flush and patched the spot with epoxy. I checked the spots in my garage 24 hours later and I can't even find them anymore.

All in all, this turned out pretty damn good. For $780 bucks and finding Rick off CL, I think things went really well and he seems like a good dude.. Rick does this on the side but he's got the training from AZ Polymers as well as access to their products. When I am ready to do my sidewalks and rear patio, I'll have no problems using Rick again.

About the only Spanish I speak is what I learned from growing up in S. Phx. So if it has to do with beers, bathrooms, fishing, or how to tell someone off I'm all good there... LOL...

I can back Colby's recommendations here. I used his guy twice already. He may even know someone that does garage floors.
