New member of TW and owner of a new 2015 silver sky trd offroad.

The truck currently has 150 miles and I noticed a squeek or chirping noise coming from what seems to be the front drivers side. It happens intermittently and more noticeable at slower speeds. It appears to occur when I start the truck and when I tap my brakes. I'll need to look into it further for more details but was hoping someone may have a simple explanation for what I'm experiencing. Thanks in advance guys.

The truck is currently at the dealership for a clear bra install. I mentioned the issue to them and they said that they would look into it. I have my fingers crossed.

So I"m the only one that has experienced this issue? The chirp is definitely obvious to me. I"ll post a video if the issue persists once I get my truck back.

Is it when the truck flexes or goes over bumps?

I just got the truck back today. The dealership told me that the sound is normal for tacomas with the trd off road package. the sound is the abs system resetting? You can definitely hear it and it has nothing g to due with the truck going over bumps etc. Kinda odd if what the dealership is saying is correct....the sound is definitely noticeable. Anyone else with a trd offroad package tacoma experience this?... or is me dealership feeding me some fluff..

I have the TRD Offroad. Is the sound a computerized sound, and does the brake vibrate or pulsate quickly? If it is not a computerized chirp, I had a chirp/squeak that was caused by the hood latch not being lubricated.

I just bought a 4x4 TRD off-road and I don't have any issues so far. Definitely don't hear any squeaking. So that tells me there's something different happening with your truck

I just read a long post about the chirp yesterday. Lots of guys have it and yeah it has to do with the VSC. At least, I think that's what they've got it narrowed down to. I'll see if I can find the thread. Hang on and I'll look for it...

Check out the link I just posted above. Let us know if it's the same thing you are experiencing. As far as what the dealer told you- it may be somewhat common, but it's not "normal". I'd press them a little considering it's a new truck, and now would be the time.

Appreciate the replies and at least I now know that this issue isn't common for all trd offroad tacomas (like I was told by my dealer)

I've noticed that this sound occurs every time I press my brake, which is starting to get annoying. I figured that it would be odd for toyota to release a vehicle with this "normal" chirp, every time the brake peddle is pressed.

I'm going to do some more digging around and talk to my dealer again. Thanks again guys.

Mine does it sometimes. If yours does it constantly, take it back in to the dealer and tell them to fix it. It's their baby.

I just picked up a 2015 Access cab TRD Off Road on May 25, 2015. I have also noticed the chirping sounds when applying the brake. Every time. I haven't utilized any of the traction control features and have only driven paved roads. I am about 250 miles into it so far. Interested to see what you find out. I will ask my dealer as well.

I have been digging around for a bit now and I am seeing that this issue is fairly common with hydro boost equipped tacomas. This is only on the trd offroad tacomas. This piece of information came from a member on tacoma world, who is a tech- mexhanic at a dealership. It seems like most dealerships will come back with a "it's normal" reply....but... I'm stubborn, so I plan on taking the truck into another dealership later this week.

I picked up my 2015 Access Cab early in May, and don't have "the chirp" as of yet. I've got over 1400 miles on her, on and off-road...

Mine does it and has since day one. Its not the accumulator pumping up. Its kinda like a Squishy squeak noise. Does it every time I mash pedal after a couple pumps I hear the pump run.

    Warles -
Just for clarification. Is your tacoma a trd offroad or sport?
