well, yeah, bu the cats shouldn't be failing in the first place, which leads me to believe that something is wrong elsewhere

Edit: i was wrong earlier, i talked to my dad/in house mech, he said that melting cats is a lean condition, not rich. he theorizes that you may have a bad/stuck injector, and to get the dealer to check the Exhaust Manifold temperature, and compare it to the factory spec range.

 

That wouldn't fix the issue...they shouldn't be failing...

 

If anyone's look for a set of 3/4“ wheels spacers let me know

Interesting, should an injector fail within 67k?

 

Very possible, there is another thread where a freshly rebuilt engine with brand new OEM injectors had them fail within the first week they had the engine

 

Strange. Wonder why they went out so fast.

 

Couls be anything, is this the same truck that was in an accident before? If so, did the issue crop up after? Willing to bet that the crash knocked out one or two injectors is that's the case

 

Fixed It. Picked up the elusive V6 6Spd Off Road Package in Pyrite Mica.

For real Lol just rolled it off the lot today after busting their balls. I got to go back up there next week and get my TRD Shift Knob from the sales man.

Yea traded the other one this one is going to be a mall queen for a while. I can't afford to tear it up like the other one.

well, thats certainly one way to fix it...... Nice truck, im curious to see how you like the 6 speed versus the 5.. also, DCSB or DCLB?
