So after a long debate with myself I think I'm getting rid of my taco. I found another hole in front of the leaf hanger on the drivers side and although I was told since it didn't share a wall with the C-channel I should be okay. Its just one more thing to worry about. So I think I'm going to throw a cheap 3" lift on the rear and see if I can get it sold and buy a newer one probably a DC for future usability.

I don't think you are ever okay with holes in the frame. If there's a hole, that whole section is severely rusted inside and prone to break. It takes a lot of material loss to make a hole.

Ha well either way its got to go. Or I guess as long as I get another Idc if I keep it or not. Ideal situation would be for a large truck to hit my rear bumper and snap the frame at a stoplight. But I'm never that lucky :rofl::rofl:

If it was me I would do some exploratory surgery. 9 times out of 10 in the long run selling one vehicle and buying another equal or greater value vehicle costs at least the price of that welder you were looking at and that is if the vehicle doesn't have any accessories. Lost money due to not being paid fully for accessories or your time to install them on the vehicle being sold, tax on the newly purchased vehicle, interest on another loan and the dealership markup adds up and even then you don't know for sure what you have in terms of reliability or hidden issues. I can see how you may want to just get rid of it but I would think about it. If it was me I would get a different daily driver and work to remove the structurally affected areas and stop the current surface rust from getting worse.

Is it all stock? What exactly you looking to tow? You have trailer brakes?

I would highly recommend getting trailer brakes. Your towing capacity is like 3k according to online but you also have to factor in all your gear. I regularly tow about 6500 but I also have ironman leafs and air bags.

If you're looking to toe distances a transmission cooler will come in handy as well. There is a "towing" bible on here that's super helpful too

That sure looks like oak/tan to me. As much porn as you watch on your computer I figure you would have your colors dialed in! haha

The picture I linked is tan. The one on Craigslist is grey. It's gone now though.
