    3" Lift
    Hello All,

Before I get told to do a search, I just wanted to say I did and it cost me $1200 so now I am reaching out...

Here is what's going on -
Brand new 2015 Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 did a 3" lift before even hitting 1000 miles and it looked great! 18" wheels with Nitto Trial Grapplers 285/65/18 and now the ride is horrible
Did an adjustable upper arm controller, no change.. and the ride is so rough and shaky not to mention to steering wheel follows each and every road groove like a fat kid chasing an icecream truck!
What is going on? I even stopped couple guys with similar setup and they are say they are fine..
    Please help.

Don't quote me on it but I think you need different upper control arms and an alignment. I could be wrong but I think that's what I've read here.

Not trying to be a dick here but from reading your post it seems to me you didn't do the work yourself (not bad, but it will make it even harder to "diagnose" and fix the problem on the forum)...if you can describe rough and shaky that would help. What type of lift are you running?

Not at all my friend, unfortunately I mostly have driven sports cars, my current being an M4. Saw a blacked out lifted Tacoma and wanted one and you are 100% right I am a complete noob with these things thus I haven't done work myself.
To describe the ride is like riding on a train track and if I hit a pebble, game over the steering wheel takes control. hope this is enough info.

The upper control arm has nothing to do with ride quality, it only adds adjust-ability so you can get your alignment in spec which isn't possible otherwise. I would start with getting the alignment numbers from the dealer and post them up here, that is most likely the cause of your wandering.

As for the rough ride, it will definitely be stiffer than stock, but the springs might need to break in a bit too so it should get a little better.

First things, first, nice truck bro!
As for the alignment, should I take it to a pro shop or any tire shop will do?

Custom alignment? That doesn't sound like correct alignment.

Unfortunately I am not really sure since it doesn't specify, any chance a picture would tell you which one it is?

What do you think? Just take it to a regular tire shop?

You could have: vibration form the driveline or you can have vibration from the wheels...I did everything step by step to isolate any problem (luckily I had none)
Do you have the stock rims/tires? If you put those on does it ride better?? If so it's your rims/tires and we'll go from there, if not it's your suspension/driveline.

You need the root cause to address the right fix
