How is Angel Fire this year? I haven't been there in about 5 years. I'm looking to go a few times this summer though if I can.

It's great as usual. Trail crew is hard at work getting everything open and maintaining the trails that are currently open. I don't know if they have any plans on building new trail this season but I believe they added a few last year like Hungry Hippo. They also added bike trays to the lifts this season so loading bikes is faster, and no more damage from hanging them off the back of the chairs. Overall, you can really tell the commitment that their management has towards making themselves a destination. Even with somewhat sloppy conditions this last weekend, and an uphill battle with runoff and spotty storms, the crews were out in full force covering sloppy sections with plywood and getting trails open as soon as possible. I'll be heading back their in a few weeks to race and I can't wait!!

Got renters insurance to cover my bike today. Kid at AAA couldn't understand how I had a $3,500 mountain bike. Best part is, there is a bike shop two doors down with a $10,000 mountain bike (Specialized). Good news; I love USAA (no hassle to get coverage).

I love the new Stache. I am going to try to find one on a demo day and try it out.

Guys, is there anything made for the 2nd gen tacomas that allow you to mount your bike upright in the bed WITHOUT having to take your front wheel off. I realize its a fairly simple thing to do, but I'd rather just keep it on. I know there is a product offered that allows you to attach it to the front of the bed, but requires taking the wheel off. Anything out there?

I just use motorcycle tie downs.. I use the bed cleats as a channel for the front tire to not sway side to side. It works fine unless you pull down too hard, then the back tire wants to come off the ground. Works great for the times you don't need it secure.

Have you considered any of the Yakima/Dakine tailgate pad options?

From the garage to the trail and back.. Meaning, not going somewhere afterwards and leaving it untended. I know some places you can't even stop at a stop light without the possibility of it getting stolen. Luckily, I don't live in a place like that.

A little better shot, just rode it for the first time, love it, already thinking of mods, new pedals, new shifters, etc, just like the truck, right guys?IMG_20150531_123704274.jpg

    Yeah.
Well, guess what my local Trek dealer had in stock this weekend. I tried, but could not resist.

    Yeah.
My wife was a little put off at first. She at least tries to understand, although she doesn't really. I didn't really NEED another bike, just like she doesn't NEED another purse. But that never stopped her! Now I just need some dry trails and to get out of work at a decent time so I can get it broken in.

Ditched the tubes and reflectors and dropped 2 pounds. Tires held air all night, so I think we got it all sealed up. It weighs in at 26.5, probably not that much more than my Fuel EX 29.

An air compressor helps, as do removable core valve stems.

Be sure to slosh the sealant back and forth thoroughly with the wheel held horizontally so the bead gets covered with sealant all the way around
