So I figured I'd go ahead and start a build thread since this is obviously becoming an obsession. I don't have any install pics, but here's what I've got so far..

    3" leveling kit
    Pro Comp shocks
    33" Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's
    20" Fuel rims
Blue LED dome light and floorboard lights
    Black bull bar (thanks Pete)
    Tacomaworld.com decal (thanks again Pete)

    Hopefully in the near future:
    Flyzeye console light
    Nerf bars
    Satoshi grille
    light bar
    subwoofer behind back seat

    And who knows from there....!!!

So I tinted my tail lights over the weekend but didn't tint the actual area's where the lights shine through. I think it turned out pretty good. The crappy cell phone pics don't do it justice. I didn't take the time to do all the necessary sanding, buffing, repeat to get the clear black look so they're transparent but barely. I'll prolly re-do it some time when I feel like spending all day sanding and buffing. For now it looks better than the red!

Nobody but Bob is authorized to make or sell TacomaWorld.com stickers, nor is anyone allowed to reproduce them.

@TMcMackin - if you want one, I can get one out to you sooner than later. Send me a PM with "Sticker" as the subject. I've sent out nearly 40 of them and waiting on another batch.

Nice build, OP.. don't mean to dump that in your thread, but that all needs to be respected. Stickers aren't that hard to get from Bob, or someone like me (who gets them from Bob). Anybody making them without his consent is really not cool.

How is the ride with your 20" wheels?

FWIW, I like BB out of the possible names.

Great looking truck. I love the blue interior lights! I would like to do something like that in my truck...any details on that? Where you got em, how much, install etc.

Yeah, I'm thinking BB myself. Out of the ones listed.
It's definitely a little rougher than stock but I think a lot of that has to do with running a 3" leveling kit instead of replacement suspension. But no doubt the 20" rims aren't built for comfort. I can tell the wider tires want to pull a little this way and that when I get on roads that are "rutted". Lol

It was actually super easy. The dome light is just a replacement LED bulb I got from Autozone. They had just about every color you could want. As far as the floor board lights, my brother-in-law helped me hook that up. Again, just some LED strips I got from Autozone that had all the wiring and a knob to change the colors, set to fade/strobe/dim, etc. The kit was like $45. After that we just spliced the wiring into the dome light wiring through the A pillar so that they would come on when the doors open. There's a write up on how to do it on here somewhere. I'm pretty pleased with it and glad I got the kit that lets you change the colors because the blue might eventually get old, in which case I can just flip a switch and have white, red, green, pink....whatever. Or just turn them off.

Badass man, definitely going to change my dome lights. The floor lights sounds like a bit more than I can chew, lol. Looks great

That's exactly what I thought...which is how I ended up getting my bro-n-law to help. He's pretty much rebuilding a '97 Taco from the ground up and I mean literally BUILDING, as in not buying parts but making them himself! Lol. The hardest part is taking the plastic cover off the A pillar between the front and back doors. Once you figure that out (and how to get it back together and your seatbelt still work properly) it's as simple as buying a splicer and crimping the wires together. One wire is positive and one is negative, so two splicers. Like I said, there's a pretty detailed write up on it floating around here somewhere. But for me, not being mechanically inclined at all, the taking apart a brand new truck was nerve racking to say the least. I did fail to mention that the kit I bought comes with a wire that plugs into your cigarette lighter so you could technically mount the lights under your floor boards (I zip-tied mine) and plug it in. That's if you don't mind seeing the wires.

Yes sir! Most definitely! I'll keep my eye out for any meets in our area.

Also, just in case I wasn't clear, Pete GAVE me a tacomaworld decal...I did not BUY one from anybody and no one is trying to bootleg TW decals. At least not that I'm aware of.
