    TW,

I'm scheduled to transfer to WA soon, and I'm debating on picking up a set of weathertec's. I'm curious as to the recall, and how that will play in. Is it possible i can work a nice set of all weather mats with the recall....

Or should i just go ahead and pick up the weathertecs since they are a better mat anyway.

If anything, Toyota will probably give out cloth mats again. You can't compare some cloth mats to Weathertechs. The Weathertechs were probably the best investment I've made on my truck. Keeps my carpet nice and clean...

True enough. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get them. With all the rain and wetness in WA, it definitely can't hurt. Thanks guys.

I got them from weathertech.com. 159.99 w/ ground shipping. 177.00 out the door. Forgot to call to see if they have military discount (doh). I'll call tomorrow in the AM if they haven't shipped.

i love my weathertechs. they've been savin my ass with all the rain we've been getting here for the past month and a half. not to mention all the mud on my boots that they keep contained.
fyi- there is usually a 2 week lead time on the mats. you get an email when they have shipped.

I understand you can order WeatherTech liners with or without the retention hook holes.
I have retention hooks only on the drivers side but won't water leak down the holes on to the carpet below? What are the pros and cons of getting the liners with or without the retention hook holes?

YES it will leak throught the holes. I just pulled out the floor carpet hooks with the assistance of a flathead and than epoxy'd the openings on the mats closed.
