Look up the tear drops when you get a chance. Extremely light weight. I would not suggest them for trail tugging but for a base camp and daily wheeling to come back to base camp they would be cool. You can rent them too just to try them out.

First tank out might have been 3/4 full so make it 2.75 tanks out. factor in 315's on 4.56 gears, automatic, 6k+ truck weight, RTT wind damn, and trailer in at about 2K I'd say that isn't too bad.

 

My mileage didn't change with my RTT on my 4Runner it was crappy without it and crappy with it. Husky drivers mpg went up with the RTT.

 

Those tear drops are kind of cool, for a hard side tent on wheels. My brother has one that he takes out now and then. His is called a Little Guy, 5-wide. Has shelving, and a cooking platform, mattress, interior light, he installed a flat screen DVD player inside and it keeps his kids occupied.

I can buy a car, RTT and finish my backyard landscaping for that much money.

 

You could build one for about 1/3 of that or less.

I'm pricing out building the same thing now.

Yeah. There is a guy on here Zizzle is his screen name that built one and had it at Rock Therapy last week. He did an awesome job. If I had the space for a trailer then I might consider building one. Looks like a fun project.

 

This would go nice with that 4X4 Corvette I have seen around.

You can find older models on craigslist for much cheaper than they are new. I got mine for $2100 from a guy in Fresno who had no clue what he had in his back yard (brother who bought it croaked). Two full beds inside, a table and when it folds down it can carry two quads and gear.

I like equipment that multipurpose....and after a long ass day of elk hunting in snow it's nice to not sleep on the ground.

That thing looks cool but I truly do like to go on tighter trails to get somewhere remote. I would never be able to drag that thing behind me.
