I like Big Stuff BBQ in Cottage Grove went there when I was passing through for a camping trip. I was on the road between Grant's Pass headed to Cave Junction and to Cali. It was getting dark and some bonehead put out a huge Bigfoot stepping cutout on the side of the highway. Just about crapped my pants. lol. Thumbs up for those experiences.

I dunno anything about it, I've never been. After living in Germany for a while, I don't really want to do any of that touristy crap. (no offense to those that enjoy it, but that isn't what it's really like there)

There are cabins to rent in the foothills along highway 2 a few miles before Leavenworth. Would recommend visiting in summer or winter.

I can understand that. My brother and his wife lived there for several years (he was stationed there) and they really loved it. I bet it's a very different perspective when you've lived there.

I'm not usually much of a fan of the super touristy stuff, although if it involves german food or a jet boat, I am all for it :D

It's funny...Germans mostly eat Italian food and food you would consider "American" like grilled steak and burgers. There is also a large demand for doner kebab from the street vendors. Just about the only stereotype that is true is that Germans love beer and pretzels, but let's be honest, who doesn't?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I think our love for the German cuisine goes back to when we came over from there. We still have this love for the old favorites of kraut and schnitzel.

And doner kabobs are the shit.

Or you could take in a Willie concert in Bend and you might get lucky enough to get a kiss! Wish that was me :)

You could explore Mt Hood National Forest's massive mazes of trails to billions of little lakes....

And cheese. Don't forget cheese. A staple of virtually all diets, and also readily found in Oregon.

And no bragging on Oregon would be complete without mention of this little gem that I'm guessing we all know and love?

Or, you could be a real idiot and torture yourself by thinking it's a good idea to hike to the top of your favorite lift in the hottest part of summer when you are not in the best shape ever.....
