Even then!...I doubt it (from Toyota) ;) I dunno...Toyota continues to disappoint this long time fan.

Toyota doesn't build what I want anymore. Colorado oil burner is close though...if they make in WT trim, might be the ticket. While I don't think the GM will be more reliable than the Toyota, I would trust it more than the Ram.

    I agree.

I am good with my 20 MPG highway. I am often told I should have a car in addition to the Tacoma for around town and highway driving. But I know if I did I'd never ever drive it. I don't care if it's a loaded $50k luxury sedan with stupid amounts of power. I'd still take my rather primitive "rough around the edges" pickup. I recently did a 14 hour drive down the east coast. I can't imagine having anything but my truck for that. I can see over the line of cars when traffic is backed up. When I stop to get gas after six hours of driving I don't have to crawl up and out, I just step down. If I want to take the road less traveled, I can.

Everyone else can have their BMWs, Audis, and Cadillacs. I'll keep my Toyota 4x4.

My wife is in agreement. She house sat for a friend of ours, she let her use her Civic...she couldn't stand it, she drove it one day, and then dropped it off and picked up our SUV for the rest of the week. She didn't like not being able to see, and that whole having to climb up out of the damn thing.

We went antiquing today (me thinks that means I am getting old ;) ) she was saying she wants her own truck. I asked her if having two trucks was silly...she looked me dead in the eye, and said: Hell no! Buying a car is silly you dumb-ass! Wadda get good mileage?? Big fucking deal! Who am I to argue with her? ;)

I was considering buying a Jetta Sport Wagon, until I drove my buddy's...loved the TDi, however the next day my neck hurt...I am thinking what in the Hell did I do to my neck...oh yeah, I kept on straining to try and look over and around things.

Meh, cars are dumb. Yeah, they get decent mileage...the rest of it is fucking useless. :D Rather have a vehicle that can do a multitude of chores....even though I have to give up some mpg's.

    Diesel mid-size would be a great all-arounder.

I could never say cars are useless. They all serve their purposes. Some of my favorite cars:

How can you say no to them? They're like a hot busty blonde with low self esteem.

    Ha!

For a play toy they are great...for 90% of the stuff I like to do on a daily and weekend basis...mostly useless other than hauling ass. ;)

I am not much into the exotics, but if I were going to add a car back in the quiver, it would be something like this. I had two of the early 70's Chevelles in a past life, this makes me want to get a 3rd one. Though, I for sure would get into mucho trouble with it, already had my license suspended once for street racing. :D

    Oh good lord!

I was thinking for when it breaks, guessing an easy $3000 replacement cost. I intend to keep it 15+ years.

I like muscle too but a 66' is what I usually drool over, the lines just look better IMO compared to the later model years.

And it only has 980 hp ;)

Sema is pretty cool. You can't really see everything in a day. Took me 2.5 days to see everything.

In Canada? Hmm, weird. Because when my wife and I were looking in the spring I couldn't build one through either my corporate lease account or on ramtruck.ca

In either case I'm happy I went with a Ford F150 for my wife. My Ram 2500 is now sticking when shifting into reverse. 40K km's and my truck has a new front differential and a bad transmission.

Fair enough. Let us know if he has exhaust issues. Both of the trucks that my friends have bought have been in a few times for an exhaust leak in the cab.

My bud with the EcoDiesel has had nothing but electrical issues, only 10K miles on it too. Says it has been in the shop more than in his hands.

I like the concept, great mpg, excellent torque, linked coil rear suspension...just poor execution...that ol' "Good Enough" build quality from Daaadge...

Too bad we can't get a Toyota version... Double U, Tee, Effe, Toyota?
