I just wanted to say that the EGR visors fit FAR better than the Weathertecs.

I bought the weathertechs originally and they were a very tight fit but I thought they were alright. One thing about them though is despite their website claiming they reduce wind noise they created more at high speeds because the very bottom part at the front of the front window doesn't fit like it is supposed to and it sticks out and sits across the weather strip and that pressure holds the whole visor out so it can't seal against the glass at the bottom. It also wears right through the weather stripping there even with the tape on it. I took mine off and it was worn to the metal inside the stripping just after a couple months on both sides.

I ordered the EGR visors and they fit MUCH better and do quiet down the cabin somewhat. The bottom of the front rests on top of the rubber strip with the perfect snugness and doesn't hang across it, and it fits and looks better all the way around and the plastic is thicker and the tint is BLACK where the weathertechs are grey. Much nicer looking. The design is also better, the visor is longer in the front corner and keeps more air out with the window cracked.

And on top of that the main reason made the change is because I rolled my window up the other day and part of the plastic in the channel broke off. Disappointing given the premium price of the weathertechs.

Thanks for the review, I just noticed today my weathertechs had a lot of play in the channel with the window rolled down. It had an annoying rattle too. :(
Also, I know exactly what you mean in the front on the weatherstripping. Its pretty sharp & the piece of clear mylan they put there is chinzy.

How much did the EGRs run and where did you buy them if you don't mind me asking?

I got em from Autoanything.com, they were $70 for all 4 (weathertechs were like $100). Might can find em cheaper, I didn't look too hard.

My only problem from the change was from the rear windows. The weathertechs stuck down a little further in the channel down the window and the weather stripping had molded to their shape, so the rears were a little loose. I got some double sided tape and taped over EGR's tape and fixed that.

I also wedged a little weather stripping inside the inner stock stripping to tighten the whole window up a little bit, but that may not have been necessary.

Very informative review. I've had WeatherTechs on my Ram Quad cab for about 5 years now and on a Pilot for about 3 yrs and am totally satisfied with both, however the fronts on the Ram have the same type issue where they contact the weatherstrip to a degree. That said, after reading your vehicle specific review I'm going to shop for EGR's tonight for the '10 SR5 4wd reg cab I ordered for my son and expect to be delivered late next week. They'll be his first "mod".

Just ordered EGR's from AutoAnything for $46.95 and free ship between pitches in the ALCS. Good game and a great deal. They should ship on 10/19 and tentatively the truck will be in 10/22. That should make for one happy 18 year old.

I bought my EGR's about a month ago and besides the back window visors not being snug enough(fixed with thicker 3M dbl sided tape)I love them.No noise from them either.

I don't really know personally, but I know before I ever got mine, a person asked this question in another thread and someone replied saying that they hadn't ever hurt the tint on their truck.

I would imagine though that this would be another plus for the EGRs. The part of the weathertech visors that goes into the channel is a little rough and not the same smooth texture as the rest of the visor. The part of the EGRs that goes in the channel is glassy smooth with the same finish as the rest of the visor.

Another *YEAH* vote for the EGR's from Autoanything.com. Just put 'em on my '10 Taco reg cab 4x4 today, took all of 2 minutes (stopped 3 times to drink my beer). YES I got the free shipping too. First time for me with the in-channel variety but from what I've been hearing it's the way to go.

Has anyone put these on their Access Cab? Got pics you can share? Looks like EGR's are a set of 2 for the front windows only. I know the WeatherTechs offered both front and rear window sets. Apparently the rear would be just for looks since the windows don't open.

I'm just wondering if it looks OK with them on the front windows only. Thanks!
