Well if a GB ever comes around I need a ribbed one and a cap for a 2014 DCSB.

I tried to take better pictures of the top, but I couldn't get a good picture. I don't know if it was the lighting or my camera not focusing, but you couldn't see any detail in the top cap. Sorry :(

I don't need an up close that is 2 inches away...just 6 inches to 1 ft away...I think your photos were taking the whole tail gate, so it was a couple of feet away....just wanted to see how the top cap covers the tailgate to edge or slightly short...does it follow the ridge bend line etc. That's what I wanted to see.

So the one without ribs fits directly under the OEM shell without modifying anything other than cutting the three tabs off?

How much stronger is the ribbed one compared to the one without?

Well, I have no real test done to prove it but when you pick the two up the ribbed one is easily twice as stiff.

Awesome product and great fitment. I did get the HF tool for those threaded inserts. Not really worth it. Glad the tool was cheap. It did not tighten them all down. Went back through with the bolt and nut included make sure everything was tight.

Again great product. Thank you Mobtown!

I used the website to calculate to Canadian address instead of my MI address, do you know if Fed-Ex included the customs BS charge in their quote before I commit?.. any more expensive than this I would just have it shipped state side and wait 'till I go home... thanks

That silk-screen is a classy touch.

Actually it is a vinyl decal they included in my shipment. Not sure how long it will last on there but thought it was a good place to install it.

Our website unfortunately doesn't calculate fees when shipping out of US. If you're interested, PM me your address and I can give you an actual shipping cost.

Installed mine yesterday. I dremeled off the the three plastic tabs on the plastic tailgates cover and it fit perfect over the tailgate skin. Tailgate feels much much stronger. Highly recommend.

Flat, did you get the ribbed or flat? Also did you use the bolts provided or did you use factory screws?

Question about the tailgate cap. Is there metal to metal contact from the cap to the tailgate? Can't tell from the pictures if there's isolation between the two.

No, there is a gasket that comes on the cap. 58e9356d401d7d51d5762c55f3f424e0_bdb86efc0dfe208cee369fe92098a520a5eff140.jpg
