    Just 2x8 for the most of it. I usually get it at lowes Or the lumber yard near my work. There is a 4x4 for the corner posts and a 2x4 on each side for the slates to lay on and one that i cut in have to fix the head board to.

    Yeah, and i use deckin screws and the parts tjat shouldn't come apart, i use wood glue and then screw it together, (i dont glue the head or foot end on so it will lay pretty flat for transit)

    Put the castle nut back on upside down, flush with the bottom of the stud. Then hit with mallet until it pops off.
