Dont get it sprayed yet !! once its sprayed they do nothing , find out when ur trucks recall expires and dont get it inspected until you know it fails !!!! front cab mounts and right next to cats is most common fail points !!!

Right on man... March 2016 is when Toyota gives us " the finger..".. ("go F---- yer selves").. We won't fix shit past that date..!!

Wait till the last possible moment and then take it in... ...07 is likely OK..., 05 and 06 were the worst ones...

Their spray stuff is shit.... DO NOT do it unless you want to sell the truck... They spray their shit and they wipe their hands of any responsibility....

I turned them down and stayed with "Corrosion Free" as my rust preventive system... it HAS worked...in "salty" Muskoka, Ontario...!!

A local garage mechanic had told me, the coating might only last 5 years.

Toyota can yank this 'recall' at any point in time. From what I remember, they yanked the 1st gen frame recall early and without notice. So....you're better off getting a 'free coating' now and have protection for another 5 years at least.
If you don't get it coated and they yank this campaign... you'll be coating it yourself or waiting for it to rot out from under you. Then....trying to sell a truck with a rotted frame.

Mine's getting inspected in a couple weeks. I'm pretty certain that mine will be getting the coating. I will most likely be selling or trading this truck in within a year or sooner. It should be a selling 'benefit'

It all depends on you...how long do you plan on keeping the truck? If you're keeping the truck long term.... the frame will not last forever. Either take what you can get now (free coating) or have to deal with it yourself later ($$) when it could potentially be 'beyond' the point of repairing.

I have to take mine in Monday here in Iowa for that frame check. I've been under that thing a lot lately changing oils and all the shocks and have been checking mine out for rust. There is signs of rust all over, the worst being in the front near the welds. And some spots are getting soft. I will fight tooth and nail for frame Replacement.

You have no option but to get it coated. If you don't, then you won't have ANY frame warranty.
It is now on record that your truck has been in for an inspection, and you have been offered the goo.

HOWEVER, you don't have to just bring it in as-is, because they may not do a great job in protecting it. Before you bring it in, clean (i.e., grind/wirebrush) all the rust off it, and coat it with a *real good* sealant, like por15, THEN bring it in for the goo.

And don't forget to maintain the goo annually -- inspect for rust, scrape, paint, and goo.
