I'm the lead bouncer at a bar on the weekends here. I get called an asshole on a fairly regular basis. Usually by uppity yuppies who didn't like being told they have to leave more than 30s before the law declares they have to be gone. And even then, it's usually complaining to the bartenders (just loudly enough for me to hear) about what an asshole I am.

I tend to laugh at them and tell them I don't get paid to be cuddly.

 

I've been married for 28 years...to the same woman. In the early days, my lovely wife would refer to me as her "rock", because of the steadfastness of my ways.

I am still steadfast in my ways, unwavering. But somehow now, many years later, I am just referred to as a "stubborn asshole."
